I don't want to hear a da#!* thing this "Mother" has to say. She lied and she knew IMO exactly what he wanted with Relisha. She needs to be :jail:

Posting the timeline because I did see at least one person had asked to see it. Everyone's input is valuable so please let me know if there is something missed, or something that should be removed. I did take out the addresses that were posted previously on it, mainly because the addresses are in the maps posted previously. (Also, I've never done a timeline for others before, just for myself when working on cases. So if mine... um.. sucks I guess... anyone who wants to copy the info and redo it, please, feel free to do so. I won't be hurt or upset )

Tuesday February 25
Relisha's 5th unexcused absence and parent conference is scheduled

Wednesday February 26
Last day that Relisha is seen at the shelter
SY turns Relisha over to Tatum to “care for her”
Relisha and Tatum surveillance video @ Holiday Inn Express @ 19:25 (footage released by FBI on Tuesday, March 25)

Saturday March 1
Relisha last seen with Tatum in DC

Sunday March 2
Tatum purchased, among other items, a carton of black 42 gallon self tie contractor trash bags in DC (shortly after this purchase he was seen in area of the Aquatic Gardens for a 2 hour period of time)
During this time up until March 20 Tatum continued to go to work and was seen in multiple locations throughout DC and Relisha was NOT with Tatum in any of those sightings.

Wednesday March 5
Relisha attended school; last full day of school
School officials speak with SY at parent conference about attendance
SY tells school officals that Relisha is under the care of “Dr. Tatum”

Friday March 7
Relisha not in school but was seen on school grounds by a teacher picking up brothers
Relisha tells a teacher she has been ill and staying with her grandmother

Saturday March 8
Relisha alledgely accompanies Tatum and family to “medical seminar” in Atlanta per SY (told to DC police on March 19)

Monday March 10
School officials reach out to “Dr. Tatum” who states that Relisha has been under his care for a neurological condition and is told he will need to provide documentation due to Relisha's continued absence

Thursday March 13
Relisha's 10th unexcused absence (30 days total although most excused by “Dr. Tatum” verbally)
School social worker alerts DC CFSA -truancy/educational neglect/SY being unable to account for Relisha's whereabouts/also notes that Relisha's mother and grandmother insist she is ill and in the care of Tatum
DC CFSA does not treat situation with a high alert mainly because younger brothers were not having truancy issues and because of note on file regarding medical issues

Wednesday March 19
Tatum at work at shelter, Relisha not with him, tells stepfather he will bring her back after work
DC CFSA social worker responds to school complaint and calls “Dr. Tatum” regarding documents related to his care of Relisha/explanation for absences
Tatum arranges a meeting at the shelter with DC CFSA worker
DC CFSA arrives at shelter for meeting only to find that there is no “Dr. Tatum” and that Mr. Tatum, the janitor, is not there
Tatum abruptly left work prior to his shift ending, apparently drove to Richmond and back, reason unknown
DC police are called who arrive at the shelter and launch a missing persons investigation
DC police meet with SY who states that Relisha went to a “medical seminar” in Atlanta with Tatum and his family and she does not know when they will return
DC police attempt to call Tatum @ 9:39pm but call goes directly to voice mail (phone never turns back on after this call)
SY refuses to file a missing persons report
DC CFSA gets court order for custody of Relisha, signs off on missing persons report
Tatum checks into Red Roof Inn Room 132 @ 10:04pm with 4 people (none of whom are Relisha)
Shortly before 11pm three people leave Room 132
Per a witness who had been at the hotel for four days, this is the first time the red SUV and black Honda are seen in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn
Various family members state that they spoke via phone to Relisha on this day. (SY, grandmother, and aunt)

Thursday March 20
Last confirmed sighting of Khalil Tatum
One person returns to the Red Roof Inn @ 5:40am, sees AKT lying on bed, is not allowed inside room (later tells police that in the last month hel assisted Tatum with internet searches regarding handguns)
8:01am Prince George's County Police get request from DC Police for help with missing child
Amber Alert issued by DC police naming two suspects (Tatum and RSL) and two vehicle descriptions (Maroon/Burgundy Chevy Trail Blazer SUV and Black Honda Accord)
Possible sighting of Relisha in DC area (in the morning with an unidentified woman)
Tatum calls friend, asks to be picked up @ Red Roof Inn and dropped off @ Southern Avenue Metro
LE learns that one of the vehicles (SUV) is parked outside of Room 132 @ Red Roof Inn
LE enters Room 132 and discovers the body of AKT (face down on bed, shot once in the head) and find both vehicles in the Amber Alert in the parking lot
DC CFSA removes Relisha's brothers from SY's care
LE updates Amber Alert with description of third vehicle (White GMC Pickup Tuck) and removes supsect RSL
Richmond, VA authorities notified BOLO
White GMC Pickup Truck is spotted in Richmond's Metro area per Richmond Police

Friday March 21
White GMC Pickup Truck belonging to Tatum found in Hyattsville, MD
Tatum is charged in Prince George's County in the death of his wife
Local arrest warrant issued for Tatum for first degree murder
Amber Alert updated states Tatum armed and dangerous

Saturday March 22
Vigil held for Relisha at shelter

Monday March 24
DC Police and RBI release more photos of Relisha and Tatum

Tuesday March 25
FBI releases video surveillance of Tatum and Relisha from Feb 26
FBI offers $25,000 reward for information leading to location and return of Relisha Rudd
PGCP offers $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Tatum
U.S. Attorney's Office in Maryland files for federal warrant for Tatum for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and arrest warrant is issued
Area within and around shelter is searched

Wednesday March 26
Tatum added to FBI most wanted list
FBI offers $20,000 reward for information leading to arrest and indictment of Tatum
Wooded area around shelter searched

Thursday March 27
LE searches Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens in what is a “recovery operation” according to Chief Lanier

the BBM has now been discounted. The siblings were tardy but arrived late. The office person who checked them in has no specific recall of seeing Relisha.

My youngest DD(9) lost a tooth tonight. She is anxiously awaiting the tooth fairy. DGS(10) is trying to pull his loose tooth so the TF visits him too. THIS is what Relisha should be dealing with - NOT living in a shelter, NOT being 'inconvienent', NOT taking care of her brothers while her mom is 'turnt'. My heart is broken at what this poor baby has been through. :sigh:

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Metropolitan Police Department Police Chief Cathy Lanier says police have been searching in a Northeast D.C. park after receiving information that Kahlil Tatum spent time there after Relisha Rudd was last seen on March 1.

Why would he kill her if he bought her?

I was thinking the same thing!!!!! Clearly, someone would have figured it out, regardless! So, it couldn't have been a "long-term" purchase if he had to get rid of her just because someone was on to him. I don't get it. Maybe it was just to see if he could... or it was like a weekend in Vegas. I'm so so sad for what this child went through and her brothers, who will know about this and live with the effects forever. Where do they go from here? Family is mostly ruled out. I can imagine it is hard to keep them together. And it is even harder to find a safe placement that will never harm them again. I'm losing faith in humanity.

You're so right, SY needs to be in jail along with others, and I have no doubt she and they will be! I do want to hear what this po$ has to say. The more she talks the deeper that pit will be! I hope she talks herself into life without parole!

I think SY cares about SY PERIOD! So many today have kids but don't care about the future... just the here and now.

I also believe he killed her. He might have killed the wife if she threatened to go to police.
It's my hope that every single person who contributed to her death, even if only by intentionally lying to LE about her whereabouts or well-being, spends the rest of their lives in prison.

When was the wife killed?

MOO, at the moment, as to why he might kill Relisha if he bought her, perhaps somethig unexpected happened, such as his wife knew something damning and threatened to reveal it. Perhaps he thought by getting rid of Relisha permanently he could mitigate that situation. Or worse, he did so during his actions with her and it was "accidental" during a sexual assault. Perhaps she tried to get away.

So many possible reasons.

Also - if the shelter was chosen because of the readily availability of disposable victims . . . well then all he bought was silence of those complicit and he can buy another next month when Relisha became less convenient than she was worth in his view.

This case has me in knots, all tangled up and disgusted.

Every single person who was complicit should be held accountable but the probably won't be and its sick %*#U)($*#!


I keep wishing against wish that LE would be wrong. That she is out there somewhere. But my heart knows better and I am MAD!

I posted a link to police chief saying she was last seen on the 1st for you. I knew you would want some link from officials stating when she was last seen. Hope that helps.

I don't know if she outright said it, but I got the impression they found her shortly after. :twocents:
