Another thing that bothers me is that red flags didn't go up for any of Relisha's family members. Not one of them.

Oh, I think SY and the rest of her family, as well as boyfriend knew exactly what KLT was/is about!

I have got to pass out before this news conference. Will someone send me a pm with the link when it's published? Please? I want to read it when I get up and not scour through dozens of pages.

To those that wondered why kill Relisha if he bought her; she was purchased which means she had value at the time of purchase - she was a material good. When Tatum got the use out of her that he wanted, he killed her. He didn't want a responsibility - he wanted a toy.

Also, I believe he was tipped off and thus killed Relisha and his wife so that he could go on the run with less weight tying him down or making him easily noticed.

I hate to be so crass but it's pretty cut n' dry with almost all criminal cases, our emotional tend to over complicate these things. People who commit such heinous crimes aren't running based on emotions, they are running on highs of whatever addiction they are fulfilling/or fantasy - and they are getting rid of any and all evidence because nothing matters to them but themselves.

"She was purchased." I know there has been speculation, but I didn't know this was confirmed. Can someone point me to where LE said she was purchased?

Bouncing this off your post, but I would bet that he shows up somewhere that has underprivileged, neglected children again. Him and his Polo shirts and suits and Ipads. He'll be picking out another one soon if he isn't caught first. :twocents:

It has not been confirmed. I'm exhausted so you'll have to excuse me not adding this before I closed my statement :moo:

Did anyone else see this? They didn't mention the lime at the press conference today, did they? :(

(ETA - I took much of the afternoon/early evening off, dealing with real life and taking a break from this case. I may have missed it.)

Man Possibly With Missing Girl Purchased Shovel, Lime

A man being sought in the disappearance of 8-year-old Relisha Rudd purchased a shovel, trash bags and lime earlier this month....

...Police say the last time anyone else is known to have seen Rudd was a few days later, on March 1, while she was in the presence of Tatum. Lanier did not say where the two were seen, only that it was "in the District of Columbia."

The next day, Tatum bought contractor-sized trash bags and spent considerable time in Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, police said. Sources tell News4 Tatum also purchased a shovel and lime -- which can be used to speed up the decomposition of bodies.

He's a con man and a pedophile. I believe the stories will be coming out about him in due time, they always do.

I wonder if they had dogs check his vehicle and the other white one that was mentioned?

Someone did make a comment in the 'comments' section after one of the news articles last week, saying they had been a victim of Tatum's. However, it's just considered rumor - but I agree that there are probably others that he has preyed upon.

Never in his wildest dreams did he think someone would just give him free access to take their child off and do whatever he wanted.

He is a pedophile? Wow. I did not know that. I don't remember reading this.

This statement speaks volumes to me. As a Mom, it's so hard not to feel responsible for everything regarding our children. When they get hurt we feel like we should have somehow, magically been able to prevent it. We've heard parents blame themselves over and over in missing children cases. The fact that she feels no responsibility for her child's welfare tells me there is one person in her life more important than her little ones. Her. MOO
