He is a pedophile? Wow. I did not know that. I don't remember reading this.

Police have shown us proof he took Relisha to at least one hotel.
Police believe he killed Relisha and dumped her body.
He also bought things that can be used to make physical evidence on a body (and the body) disappear.

I am unable to come up with a case like this, where the motive was NOT sexual assault:

A little girl her age was groomed beforehand.
A little girl her age was taken to a private location.
A little girl her age was killed.
That little girls body was concealed.
A non family member of the little girl committed the crime.

Feel free to share if you can come up with one though.
I don't think it's a leap to assume this guy didn't take Relisha with good intentions.
Garbage bags, a shovel and lime are not exactly toys for an 8 year old. :twocents:

She also said she didn't call the police because she didn't want to lose her other 3 kids.

2x4 upside the head might help her out.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Mmhmm.

Great mothers don't have to worry about losing their kids.
Great mothers give their children the best that they can, home-wise, food-wise, care-wise.
Great mothers take their children to the doctor to address medical issues before the issues get so out of hand, that they may require more than a simple inpatient surgery to correct (y'all know what I'm referring to).
Great mothers don't give their children to the freaking male JANITOR for ANY reason.
Great mothers make sure that their children are at school, learning, so that those children can have better opportunities than they, themselves, did.
Great mothers report their child missing and don't lie about why that child is missing.
Great mothers don't "turn up" every chance they get.
IMO.

I have got to pass out before this news conference. Will someone send me a pm with the link when it's published? Please? I want to read it when I get up and not scour through dozens of pages.

To those that wondered why kill Relisha if he bought her; she was purchased which means she had value at the time of purchase - she was a material good. When Tatum got the use out of her that he wanted, he killed her. He didn't want a responsibility - he wanted a toy.

Also, I believe he was tipped off and thus killed Relisha and his wife so that he could go on the run with less weight tying him down or making him easily noticed.

I hate to be so crass but it's pretty cut n' dry with almost all criminal cases, our emotional tend to over complicate these things. People who commit such heinous crimes aren't running based on emotions, they are running on highs of whatever addiction they are fulfilling/or fantasy - and they are getting rid of any and all evidence because nothing matters to them but themselves.

Trying to make sense out of it is probably futile and I get people like KT are cut from a different cloth - no emotions. But, if I were in KTs place and abused this girl - common sense would tell me to leave her behind alive versus killing her. A live child left behind doesn't get me life or a death sentence if caught.

That's assuming you haven't already murdered your wife.

Or planned to murder your wife... if you killed the child first.
If the murder of the wife was premeditated then he had no motive to let Relisha live.
He already knew he was going to commit one murder, why not two?

Even though I believe the police feel Relisha was killed 3 weeks before the wife...
If they were both premeditated then he had nothing to lose by killing them both. :twocents:

I can't find this info at this link. Where is this article located on this site?

TIA

Sorry, it is the video titled "new details emerge about Khalil Tatum"

If LE suspicions are correct, and I believe they are, KLT murdered Relisha between March 1 and March second. KLT's wife was killed on March 20th, so he murdered little Relisha weeks before he murdered his wife.

Yes, it makes sense that he probably killed his wife first.

One thing I am wondering is how much a janitor at a shelter gets paid to be able to afford an iPad, an iPhone, a nice SUV, gifts to young children living at the shelter, etc.

Well, I gotta get ready for dinner, and I need to take a break. See y'all later tonight. Thank's to all who've posted links to interviews and info.

I strongly doubt his janitor job was his main source of income. I believe he was there to appease a probation officer and/or to network.

Shamika Young utterly disgusts me, as do her family members. That's all I will say regarding those low lives.

I really hope Relisha is alive. I know what the odds are, but I really want her to make it and end up with a family who loves her. Who will help her to believe that she is beautiful and special and can do anything she wants to with her life. I want her to make it out of this and end up doing things that she could never do, being "mothered" by the neglectful baby maker she was stuck with for 8 freaking years. I want that so badly for her.

I shared her poster on facebook. I wish there was more I could do. Hugs, Relisha <3

It would make more sense to kill the wife first but all evidence says he did not.
Relisha was last seen alive March 1 and they believe she was killed around that time.
His wife's body was found March 20 and there is no way she was dead in a hotel for 3 weeks. :twocents:

Looks like Relisha was killed 3 weeks before the wife was killed. :twocents:
