Good Morning All - may today bring us our little girl.
I only can find one article that mentions the purchase of a shovel and lime. The remainder all just mention the trash bags. Does anyone know if police confirmed the other purchases?

I doubt he would have used his own money for work purchases but I thought possibly the trash bags could have been for the shelter. I know - highly unlikely. I guess I am grabbing at straws and just don't want to accept the alternative.

I am also going over the timeline - are we saying now that the teacher who saw Relisha at school on the 7th picking up her brothers was mistaken? I wonder what buildings KT had access to as a janitor? I know they searched the shelter but wonder if there any admin buildings or annexes associated with the shelter that he could have gotten keys for. Sounds to me like the trash bags if purchased for a body would have been for a dumpster or other trash pickup area. that is also why I am questioning the purchase of the other two items. Burying would offer him more concealment and least chance of discovery but also very risky to dig in a public park in the middle of an urban area.

I always see phrases like this. I feel I can ask here without feeling incredibly stupid what does this mean? I see this all over SM on profiles when I'm sleuthing pages relating to cases of the missing. Turn up, turnt up, twisted up...

Here you go! there was a day not too long ago I knew all the slang but now I rely on Urban Dictionary - lol. I even had to look up Whiskey Tango Foxtrot after I saw it on this thread several times!

The next day, Tatum bought contractor-sized trash bags and spent considerable time in Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, police said. Sources tell News4 Tatum also purchased a shovel and lime, which can be used to speed up the decomposition of bodies.

okay now i am reading the park is 700-acres so I guess he could have found an area to dig without being seen. I was originally picturing a much smaller urban type park. If she is in this park I think she will definitely be found. The police are there again today. I am sure many volunteer groups and the public would help cover the area if needed.

LANHAM, Md. (WNEW) — Police will resume searching a heavily wooded park in Northeast Washington sometime after sunrise Friday for missing 8-year-old Relisha Rudd.
Acknowledging for the first time the search for Relisha may end with a grim discovery, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier categorized Thursday’s efforts at Kenilworth Park as a recovery operation. However, authorities are holding out hope for a more positive outcome and are actively pursuing other leads in the case.
The search was suspended Thursday night after police and FBI agents combed the area for more than 12 hours. Two helicopters and K-9 units were among the significant law enforcement contingent searching for the girl.
D.C. Police said in a statement Thursday evening that no evidence was found during the search.

I know she shouldn't have let him go. That's besides my point. It had been stated several times on here that he was a pedophile. Stated as a fact. I didn't know where it was coming from, as I had never seen those comments. I share the same opinion of him, the mother and the situation as you. Just trying to understand if he had previous victims and was through the court system before with them as well.

Hey everyone, just read through all posts on this thread, this situation is getting worse by the day!
Knowing there are predators lurking all around us is bad enough, but the thought relishas family literally handed her to one is just too much!,

Why is this mother sy not been arrested at least for neglect, failure to protect etc?

Her whole family let her down, disgraceful! It certainly is not looking good with the report on the items Tatum purchased, but I am hoping so much little relisha is found soon.

I read that the last sighting of the two together was March 1st, was this in the same hotel as the the first CCTV footage?

Has any of the janitors family spoke out about him or the situation? Wondering if he has family/ties anywhere else.

I really find this case so hard to follow, my heart is breaking for this sweet little one.

I also wanted to add, what a great job you all do on here, speaking out and searching for all the missing.
