the wife was also in a completely different hotel. the witness above had been there for four days and only saw the perp show up the day before iirc (his wife could have been living in the hotel... that is also common around the metro D area near where I live)

I am trying to find that article but it will take me a sec and also fwiw both of the vehicles were at that RR inn (both have been collected as well). I think there are more people that are in on this even if just a little bit in on it:twocents::twocents:

BBM: I agree. What better place is there to find and groom vulnerable children than a homeless shelter? Tatum was getting money somehow and I'm rather sure it wasn't in a legal fashion. He just happened to find the perfect situation with Relisha because none of her family gave a crap about her, IMHO, and actually welcomed him taking her.

a lot of times people live in hotels nikki... at least in metro area here.. heck I live in the woods and there is a hotel up the state route and they have weekly rates and people live there.

I have a question that might have been answered already. Has it ever been said why they were staying at hotels? This whole time I didn't know the Tatum's had an apartment.

The only thing I could think of was Tatum was told to leave the home by his wife, that his wife had caught him (again?) with a young girl and she was steadfast that she was filing for divorce this time. He left and stayed at a motel which made things easier for him with Relisha.

Somehow he got his wife to come down to the motel and when she didn't take him back but continued to threaten him with exposure of his crime(s) he killed her.

IMO this man has nothing left to lose. He killed his wife, he killed Relisha, he no longer has a home, a job or a car. He may have already killed himself.

All speculation.

I can make an educated guess as to why Tatum and Relisha were staying at a hotel (child p*rn). That hotel picture/screenshot that I mentioned above - both of them are carrying bags and Tatum's is a fairly large duffel bag.

This is why I don't understand why LE is holding back on his real name of Karl. People in his past would know him as Karl, not Khalil.

The aliases are clearly listed on the FBI MW flyer, so I agree, it's odd that local LE continues to refer to him by his latest alias.

FWIW, Nancy Grace referred to him as Karl repeatedly last night.

I will post the transcripts as soon as they're available (just checked, they're not). I watched it again on DVR to be certain. At least that's something... :sigh:

Their focus is to find her first but Cathy Lanier said yesterday they would deal with other people after they find Relisha. One of tatum's buddies has to know where he is and I hope they roll on him.

Yes, there were, but I am still wondering what this dog walker's tip was? That is the first time I have heard that so I am super curious. I believe they had been able to tell he was in this area for about 2 hours, if I remember right. I will have to look and see if I can find the link.

understood but on my local news last night, they showed that the police had searched the apartment and the neighbors (they spoke on tv) recalled seeing him at the home as recent as early March.

I think that is about our only hope at this point. He bought those items to dispose of the wife and was unable to move her for some reason and abandoned that plan and left her in the hotel.

Didn't Tatum buy the garbage bags and lime, March 2, the day after Relisha was last seen, which was March 1? Isn't the recovery search by LE in a park across the street from the motel video has been shown of Relisha and Tatum?

I don't think Tatum anticipated killing his wife two weeks later and bought supplies to be ready for it. IMO those purchases resulted from what occurred earlier that morning or the previous day.

It's a still shot from the video - she just doesn't look 'right'. It is blurry, but even so, she looks different to me.

At the point, she had been out of school for enough days for the school to have contacted the mom the day before.

Lanier said after the last sighting of Rudd, Tatum continued to go to work and was seen around D.C. several times between March 2 and March 20. Lanier said Rudd was not with Tatum in any of those sightings.

So when seen at the shelter without Relisha, did the mom or grandma ever wonder just where this sweet child was? They knew she wasn't going to school b/c the school was calling, they went to a meeting at the school, they lied about "Dr. Tatum".

Did they know already? Did they care?

I get that. I'm just grasping at a straw that points to a found safe !
Also, I don't know why he would kill Relisha if he had basically free access to her any time he wanted for the previous months or longer. It does not seem like he had to sneak or spirit her away and had permission from the mom to come and go as he pleased with her so what would cause a dramatic shift like that? Don't answer that , because I know. I'm just picking at anything that's not despair

They were drugging Relisha and sending her off with Tatum at night. :banghead: We know now that the money and shoes is from earlier (It was on step dad's IG in Feb or Jan). Relisha was apparently missing all that school during that time. "Mom" is saying, "he always brought her back." Ugh! It just makes my heart hurt. And sadly the only person in all of this that apparently had any type of conscience at all was Tatum's wife and now she's dead.

FWIW, one of the videos or articles from last night said that Tatum and Relisha were at a different hotel on March 1st. It sounded like different from the one on 2/26, not different from the one his wife was found at.

Yes have seen tons of those extended stay hotels too when travelling in the U.S.
