This is the only video I have found so far that shows anything other than the Grandmother's face. At approx. 1.07 there is a shot of her on a chair and something pink-like on the floor. It looks like a backpack to me though.

Thanks! That is probably the video that was referred to. It is the first time I saw it! I agree, that doesn't look like shoes under the table, but a backpack.

I'm off on Monday and might go wander around DC just to kind of do some site stalking, since I'm local. Is there anything in particular anyone wants photos/details of? If the weather wasn't so nasty this weekend, I'd go tomorrow, too.

Awesome. Perhaps the search area? I know the last presser it was eluded to other search areas. So if u notice any others that look like an intense search.......They may be searches tho hidden from our sight?

If you look at this photo you can better tell that it is a man bent over opening the door to the hotel so they can search the room. imo

Sitting here going thru FB pages for the hundredth time and wondering why KT and SY are not friends?

also - is SY currently married? I saw a few posts referring to a stepdad but never really focused on him or the pics with the wads of 50 dollar bills around march 1st. Wondering what if any connection he had to KT?

I have so many questions in this case. Did he have access to another car? when were the 2 passports obtained? did the police check texts of all POIs? The only thing I feel sure about is that SY either volunteered her daughter to KT or looked the other way. Her reward for doing so was cash and /or drugs. KTs wife was a threat somehow . the school was a threat and caused him to leave his shift early when they arrived.

Trying to coax the kids out from under the table - they're well trained from the drills at school but :scared:

What a stressful past 24-hours! The clock resets for another quake (5% chance of another significant one in the next 72 hours). This is the 3rd so far.....

Clarifying my earlier post - I already knew that DC was putting their homeless up in hotels as they ran out of shelter space. My post was in regards to what reason/reasons would someone who HAS a home decide to go stay at a hotel if NOT on a vacation? JMO but that's not normal.

I was asking so to try and piece things together. Fact is Tatum and his wife HAD a home (apartment actually, but same thing), they were NOT homeless. Same for the other family member I was referring to, not homeless clearly by their photos. Yet they have the occasional pics in the middle of the others of a hotel room.

So that's why I was asking. And thanks to those of you who did give me some ideas to consider. Drugs, that seems to be the biggest reason. But, that makes no sense to me. Why go to a hotel to do drugs or deal drugs? Is there a reason you wouldn't just do that at your own home? So I guess that leaves prostitution as the reason. For me anyway :moo: :twocents:

oh stay safe!! is this the second today?? I always feel for California - mudslides, earthquakes, forest fires. Guess nature requires an extra price for the most beautiful beaches and views.

She doesn't look upset at all in the video on 2/26. She's following him, not resisting or anything.

I think her circumstances were so horrible no matter where she was in life
But when she was with him, regardless of the other things that went on, she got treats and presents. For all we know his role was that of doting 'grandfather' all of the times she went with him until the very end. She may have had no reason to ' fear' him . It's so disturbing how comfortable she is with him. That makes me think the grooming phase went on a long time and during that time , she was out of the shelter and getting treated to nice things and thought she was in the company of a good friend .

I see what you mean now - so the one on the far right is opening the door and the other two are waiting over on the left. when I first looked - I assumed the two on the left were checking that one room and the person on the right was opening that door.

According to the USGS, there have been a swarm of 6 today alone, but this last one was the biggest of the day.... 4.1 (the map shows 12 yesterday!)

Last night's was the largest so far 5.1

I didn't feel the 1st one myself 3.6 in La Habra - highlighted in pink as you scroll down the worldwide list on the left hand side.

Listening to Dr. Lucy Jones, the lead seismologist, there's no real way to make heads or tails of the data. Apparently, it's been fairly quiet in terms of the frequency of earthquakes of this magnitude in the LA Basin, up until now (I watched her being interviewed live last night on KCAL9). Apparently, they had a 4-second warning before the 5.1 hit (at the USGS in Pasadena), which they thought was a positive.

This one was a short jolt, but the kids are on edge from last night!

The city has placed 400 more ex-offenders in jobs with private construction firms and paid for 112 to complete training for commercial driver’s licenses. Last year, the government enlisted nearly two dozen city departments, courts and federal prisons to begin a broader effort to get ex-offenders hired.

This may have played a role in klt's ability to obtain work at the DC General Shelter. If so, the fact that they're displacing families in response to what is clearly IMO a much larger, and politically motivated systemic issue, is another tragic facet to this story.

Fox5- Unknown what police found in their search last night at the hotel. Nothing has been found during the search at the park today.
