Pospicle, you mentioning moss and plant life....Late last night, (my time) I was reading up about the park. There have been some very detailed studies of the park, which has found very specific things in specific areas. If only I could find the paper again, I could tell you what they were. And the name of the professor who did the study.

But anyhow, I hope to heaven they keep Tatum's shoes safe, and hand them over to biologists who know the park well - they might be able to tell LE exactly where he'd been before he shot himself, and I think that might have been to revisit Relisha's grave.

Yes Yes Yes.

I do not have any good thoughts on this. He kills his wife and leaves her to be found with all the evidence. No attempt to hide it.

He kills himself apparently with a gun and leaves his body to be found with all the evidence with him. Th e gun.

But, Relisha now that is another matter. I think he had evidence to hide there and that is where the lime comes into play. Was he thinking this would decay her body and they wouldn't be able to find out what he had done to her? I think everything took a turn for the worst when he didn't bring her back. He must have stepped over the line at that time and there was no going back

I'm afraid that it was sexual. She would have had no hope. Looking at the video in the hotel. She was just a baby walking along side him and he was an over grown man

As hard as it is to think about it. There was something going on that made him kill including himself. My only thoughts are that she has been murdered. What else would he have needed the garbage bags etc for? He didn't use them on himself or hs wife. JMOO

Do we know how solid the information is that Tatum spent two hours in the park?

Granted he may have already found the spot to dispose of Relisha but two hours cuts down on the ability of a person, carrying a concealed child's body, to walk a long distance into a park, dispose of the child and return back out.

I still want to know who the four people are that were at the motel room where Tatum killed his wife are. I still want to know what day/s Tatum returned to his janitor's job?

Is it confirmed that Tatum's body was discovered in an area that had been previously searched? If so that cuts down on how long it's been that he killed himself. Doesn't that mean that Tatum returned while an ongoing search was being conducted by LE? IMO he really wanted to be in that area to risk being caught didn't he? Anybody know how close this storage shed is to the river?

Two things before I forget:
Where are people finding/seeing that Tatum kept a photo of Relisha?

Slightly OT, has anyone considered that Tatum looks like the "Sketch" in both the 2005 rape in Fairfax, VA and the 2009 murder of Morgan Harrington?

Tatum was convicted last, in Virginia, in 2003. It was not until 2007 that LE was required to take DNA upon arrest of a violent crime...as opposed to after a conviction. I'm thinking his DNA was likely not in any crime data base.

I agree, I just hope he left something, somewhere that leads to Relisha. Like you said; he killed his wife (allegedly) and really made no attempt to hide the evidence or the body. He kills himself (at least at this point, LE is claiming suicide) and the gun is there.

If KT's death is truly a suicide, I think he planned it, even if only for a few minutes. He had time then to write a brief note, leading LE to Relisha. He was going to kill himself, no reason not to tell where she is. After all, he left his wife to be found, right? Why not allow Relisha to be found too, since he can't be punished, he's dead.

I'm just pondering WHY he'd leave his wife to be found, kill himself, but not allow Relisha to be found, even after his death. He can't be charged or punished after he's dead.

I think a lot of people have just had the wind knocked out of them with this latest discovery and are trying to absorb the news. No one is forgetting this sweet child.

I agree with you! She deserves more attention, but what else can we do? We can't MAKE people care, all we can do is continue to care ourselves. <3

I sincerely thank all of you have been and continue to be here for Relisha. I just will never understand why some missing are more important than others.

I hadn't slept for more than 5 hours i almost two days before my body gave out with worry. I gave in to a fitful night wracked with nightmares about Relisha.

There's many of us who care about her, of that I can promise you!
:twocents:

ETA: I'm sorry if I sound snippy  My worry continues! I hope Relisha knows how much those of us who care are still here, and that we are going to be here for her, no matter what!

Morning folks :coffee:

I'm trying to recall the distance of which Kathlynn Shepard's body was found from the location where Klunder killed himself...

And other cases involving suicide by the perps---the one with the uncle...still waking up, brain is foggy.

I thought lime was a corrosive material, it will damage and destroy other material it comes into contact with and wouldn't that have the effect of destroying evidence of a sexual assault, and/or beating? If he bought it at a home depot I would imagine it was Quick Lime that he bought.

It is sad that there is not much attention on this case, I partly blame the family for this.
The story hasn't made much sense from the beginning, the family have changed stories, they are not in the media pleading and begging for help.

Relisha is certainly loved and cared about here, just a shame her own family couldn't do the same x

My sentiments exactly.

I'm sure LE bagged his hands and feet at the scene and have botanists etc picking over what evidence can be had from his shoes and clothing. I agree that he returned to this park to revisit Relisha.

She did so, Lol. I transcribed the entire interview and I played that bit back several times to make sure I heard right.

She is going to struggle to say she really thought Tatum was a doctor, now she has admitted she'd watched him buffing floors........

zwie, you did an amazing job transcribing the raw video of @ShomariStone's one on one with sy - thank you AGAIN!

This effort is thoroughly appreciated! It is frustrating to read - and even more infuriating to watch.

Her words - along with her other (in)actions, will be her undoing :moo: This video segment is a window into Relisha's world - where sy always had the last word, was never wrong/always right and or justified, and never took responsibility for the children she was duty-bound to care for.

They found it in his home while executing a search warrant.

IMO he hid Relisha's body so that he could return to his life and continue to prey on young girls. Did his wife find out Relisha had not been returned to her 'mother' and she concluded he had killed the child and accused him of it and he shot and killed her. When he understood LE was involved and not just a 'mother' who didn't care he ended his life.

IMO, the middle picture is taken at a horse pasture. Maybe the pasture where the prison horse program is? Not sure, but that definitely looks like a helmet one would wear when riding a horse. JMO.

Good catch, MaliaMansly!

I was wondering what type of helmet that was that KT is holding in the middle pic...

When did they execute the search of his home, in DC? How did I miss this? I thought he was evicted or foreclosed on?
