The news anchors said MYT told them SY was always a heavy sleeper, so Relisha would dress her brothers and take them to eat at the Shelter when SY was sleeping. I say that SY and AW/TW were passed out from drinking/drugs and that's why neither of those sorry a$$e$ cared enough to get up and take the children to eat!

Slightly O/T...but this has been bugging me for days....

I am starting to wonder if KT is not the evil devil that he is being made out to be, and hence the investigation is going in all the wrong directions. I know it has been established he murdered his wife...clearly that makes him evil on some level. I kind of think that KT could be the scape goat in all of this. What if he didn't murder his wife, MT is fairly intent on this being the case and maybe thats because she knows who did murder AT.

I keep wondering if KT was trying to rescue Relisha, perhaps not in a conventional way per se, but was trying to get her out of her life. There certainly hasn't been a flood of girls or women saying that he had done this kind of thing over a period of time....And generally children are a good judge of character....Relisha willingly went with him many times and if we believe the media, she wanted to go with him to get away. I have wondered many times if KT did kill himself because he was upset not so much as feeling guilty about something. I still get the feeling that Relisha has been put somewhere safe, or what he considered safe..

I know this is a ramble and I apologise, I just needed to get that out of my brain!

I feel so sorry for Relisha's brother's. They need to be together now. These boy's just lost a sister,mother and grand mother and other people they know.This family just got torn apart in one day. This makes me very sad.They don't need to lose each other over other peoples mistakes.

Right near the end, they said something about KLT maybe related to IR, Relisha's bio-dad. Was this a rumor they heard, or is he related in some way? I hope WUSA9 will post this webcast on their site and YT, and put a transcript on their site as well. There were a couple times when the feed cut out for a few seconds.

ETA: I'm glad WUSA9 did this special, and I hope they stick with this case like they said they will.

BBM. It's a rumor. But, they did say KT told staff at the shelter that Relisha was his niece...supposedly so they wouldn't give her a hard time when she and her brothers came to eat breakfast in the cafeteria w/o a parent (against shelter rules)...SY, is hard to wake up, you know (according to MYT), so obviously those babies were left on their own to get breakfast. Trifling!

Could it be possible, on March 19th, when things started getting really hot for KT, Relisha was already in Richmond ? KT hightails it to Richmond to bring Relisha back and finds out she is gone (sold or deceased). He goes back to DC, has the emergency meeting at Red Roof, he, or he and wife, decide there is no way out, he shoots AT, possibly with her agreement, he ties up loose ends, and then commits suicide. I'm not sold on this scenario, jus trying to mark sense with the info we have.

During the earlier news interview with MYT did she say something like...the school said Relisha still had another week left of medical excuse leave? Not sure if MYT said KT told her this or she heard it from the school. Why was this mentioned? The original interview has been updated with anchors commentary and I couldn't find where she said that. TIA if anyone can remember this..or am I just confused!

I guess what I was trying to get across was that in the first instance it would seem she wasn't creeped out by him as such...I know that doesn't make much sense and I am trying hard to put it as clearly as I can, just not having much luck.

I think its the lack of other people coming forward about this man that has me questioning a few things. To me, its not the kind of thing that he would do as a one off if he was a pedophile...Wouldn't he have done this before to other girls...I know one other woman said that he tried to buy her daughter gifts and she put a stop to it, but I keep wondering if he was a generous man with what he had...Is there a difference between spoiling and giving to children who lack so much and grooming...

I hope nobody thinks that I am defending KT, because I'm not, I just worry that maybe the focus has shifted to the wrong place....Especially now the police have said he wasn't heavily involved in child porn etc...

It's too bad that AKT's family hasn't responded to questions from the media. I was hoping there would be something they could tell us about AKT and KLT. It was said by people who knew them that she was a gentle person, and very nice person. They also said both AKT and KLT attended a church in D.C., but didn't name the church, and that both were a very nice couple.

Chief Lanier said they were speaking with 3-4 other families that KT had been trying to get close to the daughters.
