Generally, the 2-hour limit for non-permit holders is until 8pm. Aside from the official parking regulations, I think neighbors would have noticed and commented on an unfamiliar car being parked on the street overnight. I'm a personal assistant in a similar neighborhood in DC (Forest Hills) and my boss lets neighbors know when he's expecting people to be parking in front of his house. It's entirely possible that neighbors did tell LE about an unfamiliar car and that information hasn't been released. Also possible that nobody noticed but the fact that they did notice the vacuum cleaner salesperson, etc., makes me think people there are alert to strangers.

Thanks for the info. I've only lived in the DC area for about 2 years, but I swear every parking sign has different rules!

If DW or "others" did drive there and street park though, and the ordeal started around 6pm, this means the car could have been out there overnight. I wonder if neighbors did notice, not that much could have been done though since parking restrictions were off.

I guess my question to some of y'all is this...

Where are you getting the idea that DDW is involved in something at intricate and involved as stealing high end cars to flip them - or whatever??

None of his past crimes lead me to believe anything like this. This isn't something that you just decide to do overnight. And people that actually do things like this are NOT just taking on a "new partner" without some major vetting. And I just don't see that here.

Just a possible theory so far. DDW could have connections to a ring. He could be doing just one part of the operation. Getting the car, for example. What do you think he might have wanted with the "rolling garage" from Ameride? That is a specialty van, for working on vehicles away from a shop.

I just read Witness 1's biography and this new job would be quite a come-down for him. Not sure I can post the link.

Is it the bio about car racing?

You probably wouldn't want to burn the car if you wanted to send it overseas.

Where has it been reported that the Mosler was burned??? AFAIK the Mosler is in pristine condition.

I can't tell you how I found this, but I think I was looking for some record that W1 actually played lacrosse in college like he says in one of his bios. (Couldn't find that.) I'm pretty sure this was from a cached page. It could mean absolutely nothing, but the text in the lower right hand corner is why it came up in my search. I'm pretty sure there were some comments on this about a Chevy, but I can't find the page that led me to the photo. I'll keep looking.

I'm sorry everyone. I was pretty excited about this photo, but after using up my laptop battery trying to find its source, this seems to be a different JW. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/jordanwallace/14722015073/

Exactly, which if the money was together at the bank at 9 AM, why is the SS calling the driver at Noon unless the money wasn't together when it arrived at the house. If the driver supposedly dropped off the money hours previously, why call the driver hours after the driver did what he was supposed to.

There's always the key... :)

Where has it been reported that he was at work all day on Wednesday? I didn't know it had been determined how much work SS does from home versus time he spends working from an AIW office. I'd heard it reported that an AIW employee saw SS at his martial arts studio, but not under what circumstances and I've heard absolutely nothing about SS going into AIW offices at any time that Wednesday. Not that I think this is what happened, but nothing AFAIK would for instance preclude SS to have been under duress of his driver where they had to do something or get something and if that didn't happen he was told his family was going to get it.

BBM

Not sure if everyone here is aware, but the AIW offices are RIGHT NEXT to the building where the jojo was. RIGHT.NEXT.DOOR.

So if he was at the martial arts place readying for it, I would assume he stopped in his office at some point during the day also. :moo:

I'm too lazy and tired of chasing down to do screen caps right now... I'll let someone else find that link and do the screen cap with the buildings next to each other

ETA: Downthread someone corrected me and stated " The martial arts center is in Virginia. AIW's office is in Maryland. " I could have sworn I saw such.... sorry

I think it'd be way easier to just steal the car if getting the car was the goal here.

There can be more than one goal, which I think there was. I think whoever was involved in this wanted to inflict the S family harm while making money at the same time.

So now this other AIW employee is involved as well? Not sure I am following...

The AIW executive knew who he gave the money to. I don't believe the AIW executive was involved. The plan all along was to get the money to the house so they could split it 3 ways.

I wouldn't feel my responsibilities were over until the money safely reached my bosses hands. I would be very nervous dropping 40k cash in an unlocked car, and just leaving it. I would be calling my employer and checking in, until I knew it was retrieved. JMO

If I were the assistant I would have shown up with the law.

Anyone can be a carjacker. There's nothing intricate about low-level carjackers as it's those higher up in that black market who do the more intricate elements, not that I think carjacking was a goal, but I don't see anything that would preclude it either. It wouldn't for instance surprise me that DW would know a carjacking fence as DW doesn't come across as someone who surrounds himself with distinguished associates.

I don't recall seeing high rate of speed on Wednesday, just the day of the killings/fire (assuming the media is stating both occurrences are on the same day.)

Anyone up for finding a link referencing Wednesday?

On the day of the killings (Thursday) it was reported that a neighbor saw the Porsche moving at a high rate of speed down the street on Wednesday. The information about W-3 seeing a well-groomed man driving the Porsche erratically was not released until a week later. I thought it odd that the Porsche sighting on Wednesday was not mentioned in the affidavit.

In his Linkedin profile, W1 says he studied Business Marketing at the two year Anne Arundel Community College for 3 or maybe 4 years. 2007 - 2010

Where are you getting that info from? Also I'm not sure on that as NG says she went with SS as SS drove over to the dojo. NG has very questionable credibility and it's not clear if two cars were involved, etc., but no indication was given that SS did anything outside of his house that day aside from going to the dojo as I haven't heard LE/non-NG say that the saw/spoke to him any place else that day.

In a garage. It ain't missing.

I didn't say it was, but I don't know why you think it was burned. Has there been some report about fire damage besides to the garage?

I see lots of posts about the possibility of W-1 taking some of the $40,000. I haven't been able to keep up here so maybe this has been discussed already... has it occurred to anyone that maybe it was the employee who gave W-1 the money who took half?

Maybe that was why W-1 took a photo of the bag of money... to show someone that it was only $20 grand instead of $40 grand.

Would someone here go back and read page 5, third paragraph of the charging documents and tell me if they think the same thing or am I just confused?

TIA

I think it's awfully interesting that W1 and DW had welding, employment connections to SS, and a certain church parking lot in Maryland in common. I know that welding skills are not uncommon in the racing world, but if you grabbed two people in the greater DC area at random, how likely would they be to have even one of those things much less three. Probabilities aren't certainties, but they can certainly point you in a direction.

What is the church parking lot connection? I know DW's father's home that was searched is right near there. I know W-1's mother supposedly worked at a church (from that fox5 article with the car interior pictures) but I never was able to find what church. Is that the one?
