Liberty Pointe Apts They are on the other side of I-95

I know where they're at, I just didn't see which specific apartment complex they were at. Wanted to make sure it wasn't mine :)

Little Nola was from Cecil Co Maryland

No updates yet on who she lived with

The Chesapeake Bay is huge and part of it is in Cecil County. Plenty of places for a body to get lost in that bay.

I was wondering why they ended up there.

I saw the Citizen notification last night of the Amber Alert and then just recently saw the upsetting update it was all false. 😢

I must give credit to everyone here on the initial pages of this thread, yinz clocked this as suspicious right away.

Well the story made no sense for quite a few reasons.

Agreed - big holes in the story from the beginning. Hopefully, that's an indicator of no planning and panicked response and baby girl will be found quickly. Bless her little heart.

Coming out of lurking mode to say I didn't buy the abduction "story" last night. That precious baby girl. How could someone...!? Heartbroken and furious.

Police are in two Cecil County locations -- Appleton Road in Elkton and Perryville Community Park. MSP would not disclose any more details.

Reports from residents and commuters in the Appleton Road area indicate high police presence in the area near the Delaware state line. There is also a shut down of Perryville Community Park with Maryland State Police presence.
"The Maryland State Police is leading an investigation into the report of a missing 3-year-old child, initially prompting an Amber Alert yesterday evening in Delaware. Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is urged to contact the Maryland State Police North East Barrack at 410-996-7800," MSP spokeswoman Elena Russo told the Whig earlier.

"Investigators are working in coordination with the FBI and the New Castle County Police Department as the investigation continues. Additional information will be released as it becomes available."

I live here in Cecil County, to me this park is in an out of the way location. It abuts the Perry Point VA Medical Center, IKEA Warehouse close by. If I didn't live in the the county, I wouldn't know about this park. Its along the Susquehanna river where it meets the Chesapeake Bay. I expected this outcome when I saw the alert last night, so sad for this beautiful little girl.

I knew it from the very beginning. So heartbreaking :(

Police said the case is now being treated as a homicide investigation by the Maryland State Police. No suspects have been identified and further details surrounding the girl's location have not been released by police.

“There has not been any confirmation of a homicide as investigators are still actively searching for leads and in areas of Cecil County where police believe the child resides,” Elena Russo, the spokesperson for the Maryland State Police tells PEOPLE in a statement. "Additional information will be released as it becomes available."
A 3-Year-Old Girl Vanished and Her Mom Claimed She Was Abducted — But Now Cops Say That Was a Lie

I suspect mother won't be publicly named until she is charged. Hoping LE have good leads (digital?) with phone and vehicle to piece together everywhere that mother has been since the last time Nola was witnessed living by someone else until the moment she made her false report. I am betting digital evidence is what took them to the park in Maryland.

Wow, just got back from babysitting my new ( first ) grandson and seeing this update although not shocked about the false story I'm once again let down my parents who are supposed to love their children. Now we're onto a possible homicide. Sadly, when I looked at the surrounding area of where this child was reported last seen/kidnapped this morning, there are a few water sources there, ponds etc. Sorry if I've repeated someone's post, I will backtrack and read in a bit.

Trying not to think of Maleah Davis.
Such a sad case. Do you remember the case where dad said someone kidnapped child while he was in store and grandparent with dementia was in car? I believe he killed himself sometimes after. Child was never found.💔

I'm caught up here but heading out into the rabbit hole, for now I'm not seeing that the parents have been named nor arrested, anyone? I think we all had an immediate hinky meter go off on this one, I usually give the benefit of the doubt, very hard to do here. IMO

Edit: Well that didn't take long. UGH
