Wilmington police search for missing 9-year-old boy

Wilmington police are searching for a missing 9-year-old boy.

According to police, Quran Stanford was last seen on the 200 block of West Fourth Street in Wilmington, Del. He is not believed to be in danger.

Stanford is described as 4-foot-2 and weighs 57 pounds.

I am surprised that is the only news outlet putting this info out there. He is 9 years old!

Yeah, I assume the authorities are very confident that he is not in danger. Why would they (police) state that they don't believe he's in any danger when something about any given missing persons case may go off on a tangent and the boy ends up harmed, or worse?
