According to their attorney, police have both told Jeremy and esp. Debbie that they are suspects.
To be fair lets quote what the police department said.

The Kansas City Police Department, however, was quick to refute the claim, telling Fox News that the parents have not been told they are suspects.

Yes, unofficially...in not so many words.

I think it is only a matter of time when LE does officially call them suspects.

and I hope LE watches the Dr. Phil show to see if one or more slip up.

Surely, they would be watching for that.

Who knows?

We know EVERYONE on DB's side of the family thinks they're innocent.

:blowkiss:

:waitasec: not everyone! IIRC, an uncle of DB's isn't singing "kumbaya" with the others. Pretty sure he has been nominated for a "excorcism" though. He stated what he thought and hasn't been heard from since.

Within minutes of announcing "Suspect", defense attorneys demand the records. It appears, now, that Def. may have added POI to their list of legal terminology and demand records. It never stops with them.

They are not the ones that have made this decision, their lawyer has. They have agreed and they have people around them that are supporting that decision. Everyone around them thinks they are innocent. Everyone.

Lawyers can't force their clients to make a decision they don't want to make.

Just because everyone around them thinks they are innocent doesn't mean they are innocent.

Just because a majority of this forum thinks their guilty doesn't mean they are.

Aren't you glad we don't arrest people based on 'suspicion' but on evidence?

I heard the exact same thing in October.

It's 4 months now and counting.

DB and JI's own actions make them look guilty.

I LOVE how they will only be interviewed when money is involved. Both are pathetic.

peeps... let us drop the "money" aspect of the interview until and unless there is something reported on that they are receiving monies. Thanks so much.

Bump.

I suspect the attorneys want this case to go nationwide and have hundreds of people THINK they spotted Lisa Irwin.

Defense uses this strategy in cases to gather numerous leads to use in deflection. It keeps LE busy; LE in every State will have to investigate. It is costly to LE and Picerno can use in the courtroom to create Reasonable Doubt". This is all a part of Defense Spin. We've seen it effectively used in other cases.

Hate to break it to ya, but it usually does.

Preview of the show? If it's real, Debbie looks really good! Dark hair, lost weight.

Not even a face to face with Dr.Phil. But I bet they are face to face with Tacopina in the screen room!

Will anyone here be taping it and posting it on Youtube? I'll be at work when it airs.

I think Dr. Phil will ask some tough questions. I don't see JT sitting with them. Who is the guy?

Thanks Det. Klimpt. Wow! So it appears to be on a video conference, not live. He may be doing a clip from each person...DB/JI/JT/BS

On the link provided by Det. Klimpt, I was watching old videos of them. JI says this situation has brought them even closer together. It is enlightening to look over the old videos in cases. The only case where I've seen this behavior before was with Haleigh Cummings. Her father married the perp.

This is not normal behavior, folks. Even the best marriages suffer and many part ways over the unexpected or accidental loss of a child.

I need a profile on Jeremy. He is an odd duck. When you leave your child in the custody of somebody and they lose or misplace your child because of drinking or drugs and you even become closer to that person because of it, you have some dots missing off your dominoes.

Now, that I think about it...Dr. Phil films in CA. Joe T. works out of and resides in NY and so does Bill S. It may have been taped from Joe T's office.

Missing in a Moment: Baby Lisa

Ten-month-old baby Lisa disappeared from her home on October 3, 2011 and hasn't been seen since then. Her parents, Deborah Bradley and Jeremy Irwin, say Lisa was abducted from her crib that fateful night. In this Dr. Phil exclusive, the distraught couple, joined by their attorney, Joe Tacopina, breaks their three-month silence. Did Deborah, who admits to being drunk the night Lisa went missing, have any involvement in the baby's disappearance? How does she explain reports that she failed a polygraph test? And why have Deborah and Jeremy been accused of being uncooperative? Plus, hear the couples' explanation for their apparent inconsistent recollections about which lights were on in the house and the mysterious phone call reportedly made from Deborah’s cell phone on the night Lisa went missing. Then hear from the private investigator who has been searching for Lisa: where does he think the baby is, and why does he believe she’s still alive? Don't miss this Dr. Phil exclusive.
