My point was that Elizabeth Smart's parents didn't hear anything. It was nothing to do with the age of the child, only the lack of noise to alert to danger.
Obviously it is possible for someone to sneak into a house without alerting anyone. Burglars do it all of the time, and they get in locked doors.
First of all, Elizabeth Smart's bedroom was half the size of the Irwin home....her parents bedroom was another house away.
Secondly, Elizabeth's little sister, who was sober at the time, gave the information that eventually put her abductor and his accomplice in prison. Sadly she waited too long to tell them or ES may have been found right away.
Thirdly, Elizabeth was told not to say a word, and she didn't - a 10 month old baby who hadn't eaten or had her diaper changed in 6-11 hours, is bound to make noise at some point - IMO, probably cry while an abductor is trying to juggle her and three cell phones. NO ONE heard a baby crying that night - not in the house, not (allegedly), being carried down the street....a sick 10 month old....not crying at all.
Fourth HUGE difference between this case and the ES case - her parents NEVER sat up in their house without so much as a word to anyone. They were EVERYWHERE - anyone who would have them, they were there.
If we're going to compare, once again, the ES case to baby Lisa's - these things should be considered.
As a side note, Ed Smart and his brother went through unmitigated hell for a year, being accused of all sorts of horrible things, including child pornography....and they still didn't sit up in their house.
If BS and Tac were not going to be on the show, controlling every word, I'd watch. Dr. Phil would, IMO, extract some answers from them alone. I just don't think it's going to happen. Why do they need their lawyers on a talk show? So that they don't incriminate themselves.....that and exposure for the lawyer and ... courtesy officer.
