Decomposed Body found in Scurry Co.*3/16/13* - LE identified as being Hailey

Carbuff, I have been looking at mapquest ever since this story broke trying to figure that out. I think you are correct in your assumptions. Very close. The picture looks to have been taken from FM 1298 looking parallel to CR 3236. The "crime bus" looks to be on CR 3236 not very far from the intersection and I am assuming the body is to the south?? of CR 3236 away from the lake. At least that is how I had it pictured in my mind when I watched our local reporters covering this yesterday and today. great job! I wish i knew how to link maps.

Billie and shawn came down to BigSpring when they found that body, that is when Shawn's attorney put out a press release. So that is why I feel this isn't her,, because they are on their way again.

Shawn & Billie came up together I believe last time IIRC.But they did not come for the one found in Sweetwater, just the one found a year ago next week in Big Spring.

I agree wholeheartedly. And it really isn't that far from CC or Dunn. Remember the damage to the springs or undercarriage of Billie's car? Didn't she get rid of that car very soon after Hailey went missing because "something broke underneath the car?" I always thought SA went down some back roads. But then I would have bet a million dollars on the last remains found were Hailey just because of the proximity to his MOM's house. This is close proximity to his GRANDMA's house and also Billie's home. I will patiently wait to see what LE comes up with before I go spouting off my mouth. All Moo too.

Look for a button that has some markings on it that might kind of look like a bit of chain -- "links," get it? In Googlemaps, it's in the left-hand bar near the top. In Mapquest it's on the top right. Click on that and it will give you a link you can use to link to it.

I think the photos have to have been taken looking west, which would put the crime bus north, towards the lake.

Then again she would have looked bad if she hadnt. The other thing is many people believe that Shawn moved her from the original hiding place so Billie may not actually know where Hailey was put in the end.

A year ago next week there was a body found close to SA's MOM'S house. That body has not been identified, but it was male. A few months later a body was found in the median of I-20 in Sweetwater.. It almost immediately was identified as male. It turned out to be a man living out of his truck I believe. I've never heard of a body found leading to SA's granny's house. Mom lives in Big Spring. Granny lives in Dunn.

I am not sure why they come...what I mean to say is BD moved away from the only place Hailey would know to go to if she was able to. What is the point of high tailin' it back to CCity when a body is found and one that could take days, weeks, maybe months to identify? I don't understand. BD all but erased Hailey in the first few months, changed Hailey's bedroom, painted the inside of the house, bought new furniture....continued to live with the POI in her daughter's disappearance, lied to the police about his whereabouts, the last person to see Hailey alive. Maybe a psychological expert could chime in because I don't understand and I really want to.

thankyou, yes I heard the body was on the same road as her house, now I never found out who it was and I dont know if I read that as the story was breaking or later so who knows, my sister in law could have told me too she lives in Brownwood and she was a cop there for many years

Something else that was gone, something that I have harped on for 2 years and 3 months. Hailey's bed linens. BD said she gave the sheet off Hailey's bed to LE but never said anything about a bedspread, or a comforter, or pillows, or pillow cases, an extra blanket, nothing. In the photos that the media took of Hailey's room it looked like a typical teenagers room except the matress was on the floor instead of on the bed frame and box springs which could also be seen in the photo, devoid of any bed linens. Then a new picture was posted of Hailey's room that had been cleaned up, matress placed on the bed, clothes folded neatly, but no sheets or bedspread/comforter on the bed. What is my point? It was December. It got cold at night. Where are Hailey's bed coverings?

I'm not sure. It looks more like a sign to me. It looks rather thin and it's casting a sharp shadow.
