If they knew for sure that it was NOT Hailey, we would already know that by now. There is no reason to keep everyone wondering if it isn't her. Just as the other local family has already been told that it's not their loved one. Also, we still don't know who the body was that they found last year, but we knew within days that it was NOT Hailey. No need for them to change their policies if it is not her.

You raise a good point. If they knew for sure it wasn't Hailey then why haven't they told Haileys family its not her like they did the other family?

NamUs says there is dental info available for Jennifer Wilkerson, but I suppose one tooth will not make a positive ID. Hailey does not have dental info on file. Both have DNA profiles, and were wearing flip flops when they disappeared. Also very similar in height and weight. Gosh this waiting is painful!!

Jennifer has been missing since 2004. If Curtis is right about the remains being no more than five years old then that would rule her out as well. I just am not sure how much notice to take of his estimate about the bones.

His guess about the remains age may be based on whatever object(s) were also found. If there is a piece of clothing, that would be easier for a non-expert to hazard a guess about.

I appreciate the info he is willing to share, but I'm not going to put any weight in what he said about the age of the bones. The item which was found with the remains, interests me though. Curtis is saying that LE only dug (shoveled and screened soil) in one spot at the area the remains (scull) were found in. He expected them to dig in many areas, not just one.

I'm not sure what to make of his discussion in that forum he is posting in. In a way, I think it diminishes his creditability, even though he is holding back info on the item with the remains. What do you think?

He should have joined here. Too bad. JMO

I read every word he writes, don't really question his credibility, but kind of wish he would just stop talking. I don't want to question his credibility. As for his ability to date the bones, he is a fossil hound. He may have also seen the degree of growth in and around them. That seemed important in caylee's case. I bet he has pics that he has studied over and over.

The one thing that saves his credibility to a degree is his job. Though because of his job I don't understand why he is talking the way he is. Many think that PH is saying things with LE consent and that what CL is saying has been authorised by the FBI first. I just wish he wasn't doing it. Its strange though because at first he was like he wasn't going to say anything because of grieving families and since then hes made it pretty clear what he thinks about things.

Or shared with someone who has expertise, and gave him a confidential assessment.

Your assuming they don't have reason to believe its someone in particular. IF its true what Curtis Lloyd said then yes they have reason to believe its Hailey. We also know that the testing hasn't gone to the back of the queue as we know that at least one family has been told that the remains aren't those of there missing child. Additionally if its true the remains are less than five years old it dramatically reduces the chance of it it being anyone but Hailey.

There is an interview with that guy here, and he says quite clearly that the only thing he saw was a skull, a loose tooth and a femur. I don't know what he is saying now, but if it is different his account has changed.

If they had a tooth or teeth, probably the upper jaw as well, they might not be able to identify from that but they certainly could eliminate people based on known dental x-rays fairly quickly. It does not imply that they have done DNA testing at this point.

LE and the medical examiner have not said anything about the age of the remains, and until they do anything else is just guessing.

He has talked a lot more since then :) maybe he got authorisation from LE to say more although hes not actually said what else he found other than its a piece of clothing. Hes a very polite man and willing to answer questions that people have.

He is a private citizen, they didn't supply him with any information, he doesn't require authorization.

He explicitly said that was all he saw. If he was keeping stuff secret then, why stop now? Nothing has changed.

The implication is that he is backfilling details after the fact, which makes whatever he is saying now unreliable. My guess is that he found his 15 minutes enjoyable and would like to extend that :)

That is your opinion ;) Due to the nature of his job I do not believe he would say anything he shouldn't. Nor do I think he would risk his job which I assume would happen if he said too much. He doesn't come across as a attention seeker. He comes across as a nice polite man who wants justice for who the remains are. If he wanted fame like you claim he could simply tell people what the other item was but he hasn't. Justice for Hailey ( I have a feeling it will come soon :)

How do you know they didn't?
Seriously things get talked about to family, friends, and just off the record many times that aren't always known about.

Alas, I am losing faith in Pointhunter. Today he is again posting that he has been threatened. Seriously, what would be the point in threatening him. He can't go put the remains back and tell LE he never found them. I soooo wanted to believe him.

It's the trolls. Anyone posting their real name in any case will receive threats, and that site is open to anyone to post anything, like facebook. JMO He likely IS being threatened but likely BS threats, IMO. He would have been better to post here.

actually, the threat was not from that site. He claims a note was left on his car at work. He works at a prison. Ya think there might be a camera or two?
