This wind is scaring me to death, looks like it's about to blow the whole tree over.

Is a storm coming?

Yep, we've been watching these storms for a few days now, with great help from Peeples who is right there in IA.

I keep getting nervous too because of the wind. But as someone else said before, the nest and the eagles have survived other storms, so they should be just fine. And there are people there to rescue them if something should happen.

A lot of their mods live out of state and out of the country even.
right now the storm is showing as being right over top of decorah...

There is a good photo in the article i posted above... it shows that mission control is a garage RIGHT under the nest... if something happened there is people right there to help..

Thanks for the article. I've been watching the nest off and on since yesterday. I didn't realize they were so close by. It's so awesome that they're doing this for us.

I like seeing wildlife like this. Animals in the zoo are kind of sad to watch. I realize that many of the animals would not be alive, if not for the zoo, but it's much nicer to see animals living where they belong.

Oh my gosh it is so windy. I am glad mama is there since she is bigger and keeps them in line. All the babies are tucked safely below her in the bowl. :heartbeat:

Thanks Peeples for the article. Found it funny that their viewers named them E1, E2 &
E3 when we have Sassy Pants, Wobble Head and Finally. There's a much more imaginative group here. I'm also glad that there are people on site.

She is such a good, patient mama. She had a rough night with not much sleep and yet she still keeps such good watch on the lil ones.

Our eagles are going to be discussed on ABC world news tonight. It just started here but they aren't talking about eagles yet, tornadoes are the lead story.

Talking about Mapleton now

thank goodness the wind seems to have died down a bit. Poor tired mama, that must have been a rough night last night.

ETA uh oh, may have spoken too soon.
