How can you tell which is the mother and father eagle?

The info says the female has the grey shadowing around the eyes......it seems to be the male that is on the nest right now, as the one that left earlier had much more grey coloring

It's hard but the father is smaller by a little bit

This says they're identical except the female is 25% larger. Hmmm, can't really say unless they're both there at the same time I guess.

It is hard to tell the difference unless they are both on the nest. The female is larger than the male. This female has a ridge above her eyes that goes further back than on the male, and her eyes are surrounded by a greyish shadow; the male has a line around his eyes that makes them look “beadier.” Some think that the male’s head is “sleeker” than the female’s.

Ok, I think I've officially lost it. In my head, I have just figured this out. I think the older one was being a little "difficult" so mom/dad is punishing them for a minute. And now he/she is REALLY gonna get it cause they're both there now yelling at it.

I think I need to step away from the eagles for a bit. LOL

Just another thing for me to stress out over!!!! At least momma/pappa is now facing that little eaglet and can keep it out of trouble.
