Wow, he made it. Yeah!

Yessssssss, baby made it back to mama all by him/herself!!! Whew...

No horses today?

Lol....pretty sure this one is the dad, and he is the one who booted the baby out the other day too. I had to shut the site down and not watch for a bit!

On the feed which has the other nest videos listed down the right hand side, there is one from another nest where a baby this size gets somehow entangled under the chest feathers of the adult bird. The adult hops and struggles to get it off, and then eventually flies away and later returns without the baby. It was soooo horrible to see that happen.

Baby just walked back to momma and is under her again! Whew!!!

Thank GOD! I had to minimize the window (I'm at work) and when I came back, I couldn't see him anymore! I freaked out but I knew I could come here to find out what happened! Thanks, all!

Me too! I have a really hard time watching them struggle.

I keep thinking, "What if something bad happens or one of them doesn't survive?" Meanwhile, this sort of thing is going on all around us each and every day and we're oblivious. It makes me appreciate mother nature a lot more.

Here is another eagle nest in NJ. She has 3 eggs also but none have hatched yet. This nest sways with the wind or the camera does. Makes me seasick. lol!

#2 is missing another meal :(

#2 is missing another meal :(

I think that chick #2 isn't going to make it. :( Maybe their instinct is to save the healthy chick.

I am also worried about chick #3. When it hatches, if it hatches, it will be so far behind/smaller/weaker than chick #1. Hope it is a fast learner.

Sadly, I have to agree with you Paintr. I think baby Wobble Head is just not strong enough. I think, based on the times that Chasing.Halos found, that he hatched a bit early. Earlier he face planted in the nest and didn't move. I thought right then that he was a goner.

Mom came back with a fish but didn't share with Dad who left. She ate some but fed babies with her back to the camera so I couldn't see if both chicks ate. :banghead:

Dad is back now. Both are there. Caught a glimse of both chicks. Both are moving. :) One parent left and then returned. Feeding #1 chick only. #1 chick keeps pecking #2 chick. :( Feeding over. One parent left.

I'm so scared to watch this anymore. I'm worried about little #2. Poor little sweetie :(

Mama's feeding with her back to the camera again so no way to tell if baby #2 is being fed. He was hardly moving at all :(

Feeding time again!

Aw what a good mama. I love how if she tears off too big of a piece, she tears it again small enough for the babies. Then after she lays on them again she fixes the next to make sure they're completely covered and warm. So sweet.
