Who would believe Terri if she came out and said how much she is missing Kyron? Anybody?
Think about when you usually hear someone say this. Though they know the truth, they say "I know in my heart..." and then follow up with something that they know is not true.
Not at this point no. As for in the beginning, we don't really know if she stated it or not. But she sure expressed her feelings to her friend the next day in an email, and it didn't include anything about how she felt about Kyron missing.Who would believe Terri if she came out and said how much she is missing Kyron? If Terri were my client I would tell her the same thing. "When you are the target of the investigation, rightly or wrongly, opening your mouth only opens up avenues of attack or impeachment for the prosecution if this gets to trial. It doesn't matter how innocent you are and how much you want to shout that from the rooftops, no matter what you say, someone will find something wrong with what you said, the way you said it, who you said it to, when you said it or what you were wearing when you said it or all of the above. It's a no win situation. You need to keep a long term view and play for the long term goals no matter how much it hurts in the short term. For example, fighting to get custody of baby K today does you no good if it increases the risk that you will spend the rest of your life in jail and can never see her. If you doubt that it can increase that risk, just look at how much damage your husband has done to your reputation in the eyes of potential jurors already - and this before the fight even starts. No matter how much you want to speak out today, you need to shut up if you want to have any chance at all of a future."
This is true, I hate the way we get little snips, and not all of it, if in fact there were other emails, I wish we could have seen them also.We have no way of knowing that...what we saw was probably part of one e-mail. She could have been writing back and forth to this person and others, about Kyron, for all we know.

I would bet LE has them.Thank goodness. I've been waiting for that whole email to come out! Where is it??
Yes she was , with a thanks or hitting the like button. Would have been nice if she would have made a post as to how her heart was breaking though. From Terri's comments before her page went private, almost all of it was about Kyron and flyers and searches, etc. 2-3 comments stuck out as "inappropriate" from those first days, but overwhelmingly, she was replying to messages of support and prayers from friends. For what it is worth.
I would bet LE has them.
In my opinion if this case does anything, it proves that statement analysis really means nothing. Polygraphs don't find missing children and that if you have ONE good friend in the world it's a blessing.
I say that Dede shows the kind of character and strength I would pray one of my friends would have if I was embroiled in something so horrible.
I see examples given on here as to why her statements to People magazine should be considered bunk.
I'm sure we could also find statements to match what she said to show she seems to be telling the truth.
What's that saying I've seen? "A true friend is someone who walks in when the whole world has walked out." (something like that). If anything we are seeing the real life version of this play out in front of us now.
Oh drats. I was sure you had seen them. You said there was no mention of Kyron, and that was the biggest sticking point for most people! Dang!
I guess, just like DeDe defending Terri and not saying anything about Kyron, we won't know until we can see the whole article. Raise your hand if you're a grocery store reader!!! (I never buy the mag.)
bbmMost people are not going to happy with anything either of these women have to say unless and until some outlet prints that all they talk about is missing Kyron. And that would not be salacious enough to go to press. So we aren't going to hear that, if they say it, and we have to be "content" with snippets of what they say, possibly out of order and out of context. That's just the way it is...
And we'll have to wait and see if Dede testifies or if LE has determined she has nothing to offer, or is she asks for and gets immunity.
Slightly OT, but on another thread (a search thread) a poster noted that the kgw article that stated that the latest searches were a result of Dede's talking with LE, that part of the article has been edited out. For whatever reason.
The cell phone wasn't the only means of trying to contact Dede on the farm that day. A person who was working with her tried to find her, too, but didn't see her anywhere on the farm.
