I managed to watch the live-blog with my one eye, so here is what I got from it so far.

Kim Wall's parents was in court today. They had an appointed lawyer with them, to help them get through.

First it was the prosecutor that talked about all the evidence and the circumstantial evidence.
Most of it we already know about, but there was details like
- her underpants was found under a plate in the floor in the toilet of the submarine
- the inside of her nylon-stockings was outside - reversed....its hard to explain, but they were on the wrong side
- there were marks of her being tied on her wrists on the arms
- there was found semen in PM's underpants
- the blood on PM's nose when he came ashore was KW's blod
- there was dokuments on PM's computer with text about vaginal impalement of women - plus the same theme was found in several animations on the computer
- PM's Iphone activity up to 8 pm the same night they sailed out, has been recreated through i Cloud and there was google-searches for a video about decapitation with sexual purpose.
- there was a cut on the throat above the cut where the head was removed from the body. The Police think that it might be a sign of that PM cut her throat, because they have found signs in her lungs of that the oxygen to her has been stopped abruptly
- the woman that in the press told about SMS and the barcelona trip has withdrawn her statement and it is considered to be a lie, so the police is not interested in her statement.
- there was not found any DNA on KW's body from PM

From the mental health-check:
Overall, Peter Madsen appears to be most untrustworthy. He appears polymorphic, perverted and very sexually deviant, among other things in the investigation, which the prosecutor reads from.
- No evidence of psychosis or pathology has been found. He has narcissistic features. He has superficial charm and a distinct self-esteem. He is emotionally impaired and has a serious lack of empathy and anger, among other things.
They also believe that if Peter Madsen is out free among the public, there is a high risk that he will commit a similar crime.

After the prosecutor, it was the defense-lawyer who mostly was indignated about the way the prosecutor had presented the evidences. She didnt feel that he was fair and objective. But what else can she say....

This afternoon its Peter Madsens turn to explain.

A Danish builder of submarines and rockets went on trial on Thursday accused of sexually assaulting, torturing and murdering the Swedish journalist Kim Wall after she joined him on board his home-built submarine for an interview in August last year.

The accused, Peter Madsen, pleaded not guilty as the trial opened at Copenhagen district court in what prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen has described as a “unusual and extremely brutal” case. Madsen is charged with murdering and dismembering Wall, along with a charge of sexual assault without intercourse of a particularly dangerous nature.

He has admitted dismembering her body on board his submarine and dumping her body parts in the sea.

#PeterMadsen turned down well-known defence lawyers, instead choosing the relative unknown Betina Hald Engmark. He has also opted, as is his right in Denmark, for a 3 judge / 2 juror panel rather the usual 6 jurors. #KimWall

Peter Madsen being imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital under regular evaluation could mean he is kept away from the public for longer than if he was given a life sentence. The average life sentence in Denmark is 16 years

"I did not want to share the terrible way, in which Kim Wall died, with the world. I especially did not want to share it with her relatives," he says in court #KimWall #SubmarineTrial @SkyNewstwitter.com/julieastridtho…

He hasn't admitted that he killed her or anything ... he is claiming some sort of accidental death for Kim.

“I deny that I am guilty of the murder of Kim Wall,” Peter Madsen said, having via his lawyer, Betina Hald Engmark. “There is nothing worse that can happen to a person like me than to sail out with another person and return alone.”

Hald Engmark earlier said that Madsen would stick to his claim that Wall, 30, died of asphyxiation in an accident, after which he sawed off her head, arms and legs and disposed of the body at sea.

In her statement to the court, Hald Engmark said that the evidence against her client was thin, pointing to the police investigation’s failure to determine an exact cause of death. “A crucial argument is the cause of death,” she said.

The prosecutor wants to know more about why #Madsen searched for the key words decapitation, girl and pain immediately before the submarine voyage.

Prosecutor continues to cling to testimony sperm from #Madsen that was found, according to prosecutor after he looked at the video in which a woman was tortured.

#PeterMadsen reacts with irritation: he denies that he was sexually excited after seeing this video in which a woman was tortured.

You want me to answer in a certain way, says #Madsen to the prosecutor. But I can't fulfill all your wishes.

It is now about the trip with the submarine with #KimWall. The intention was that #Wall would be back in the evening.

Now comes a technical explanation from #PeterMadsen why he comes back so late.

Stop! The judge says again. It is going too fast. #PeterMadsen laughs apologizingly and says that he will try to explain it so that everyone can follow it.

#Madsen comes up with a very technical explanation of how he starts the engines in the engine room and makes a mistake. Then when he stands on top of the tower the hatch is fixed and he can't go inside anymore. He hears #KimWall calling.

#Madding pauses briefly. This is not easy for me, he says.

Plaintiff wants to know why #Madsen changed his explanation, when the head of #KimWall was found and no skull fracture was found.

At that time, #Madsen's third statement was no longer true, namely that she had been given the 70 kg hatch on her head.

And then #Madsen came up with his fourth statement: that #Wall died because of smoke poisoning.

For how long #KimWall has been stuck in the submarine, the plaintiff asks, but #Madsen does not know exactly that.

I called to #Wall how she should stop the engine, but that's hard to say #Madsen.

Then #Madsen finally manages to open the hatch. The space is filled with warm air.

#Madsen tells us that he crawles down and finds #Wall lifeless. He tries to wake her up.

He is DISGUSTING!

My thoughts are with Kim Wall´s parents who have the courage to attend and have to listen to his lies.

It is reported that they sit quietly and with great dignity.

Did you try to get #Wall upstairs? the prosecutor wants to know. That didn't work, says #Madsen. Why not, the Complainant asks. You are a strong man of 85 kilos.

But #Madsen says that there was too much smoke to be able to do anything.

He says to the prosecutor:"Jacob, I know you are a prosecutor. But the girl was lifeless and I had to leave because otherwise I would also die myself.
