So she's the mother's attorney and representing other family members but not the suspect's attorney? I'm so confused. Why would the family need an attorney? Civil lawsuits? :waitasec:

JH is an adult so his parents wouldn't be civilly liable for him.

To be honest...I would hire an attorney.

ETA: Yes, I think there will be some that try to sue them.

The chart is HUGE! I did not post all of it! Out of the 32 films on the chart Knight was the only one whose boxoffice fell (in second week of release, no less, IMO signfigant) Funny - the last column is days in release (!) -- in some instances it makes it look like the grosses are billions!

There were many films on the full chart whose box office fell from the same day last week. The Dark Knight only has 5 days of totals for comparison, so they are comparing takes day by day. This will change once the Dark Knight moves into its second week. Although falling short of some folks' predictions, the movie had an amazing opening weekend, money wise.

Huh? That wasn't my question. Who is representing the suspect?

Daniel King and Tamara Brady

adding another link:

Holmes' attorneys, Daniel King and Tamara Brady, declined comment after the hearing. King and Brady are members of the state public defender's capital cases team, the group of attorneys who represent clients in death penalty cases.

I would think some attorneys may offer to represent families in these very high profile cases (news coverage, press conference = free advertising). If an attorney offers to field requests and act as a buffer for the family while charging little or nothing most folks would be tempted to take them up on it.

I may be tardy to the party; however, if he had a brain tumor, cyst, lesion, etc he would show a continuous aggressive manner that others would have reported. Fights with neighbors or the innocent bystander that would report this. Not just the one speeding ticket. Also, he was very self controlled in the events that lead up to this. Which leads me to believe he does not have an organic brain abnormality.

As for people talking about a possible mental illness in the media - that is what they are paid to do for ratings. Not one of them have interviewed this guy. It is purely speculation.

BBM -that is your opinion.

My cousin went for a general check up and was sent for an MRI - the Dr. found a ball in his brain the size of a Spalding ball and that is larger than a gulf ball. He was not acting different not before or after the surgery, thank God it was found he was lucky.

THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT. It is not one size fits all.

I'm adopted, so I get it.
One never really knows what the two family trees will pass along.I always thought I was losing my mind until I met my bio-family and found out 3/4 of them were like that as well.
Whatever is wrong with them, was passed along. Just plain coping (eta:and meds) is the key for most of us capable of normal thought.
This guy is beyond. I wonder what snapped and when or if it has been building for many years. His "superior brain" has nothing to do with much of it except he knew certain things most people don't. (unless they study on the internet)
"My client was so smart, he went off the deep end." Don't think so.
imo moo jmho ect...

Why would his parents not be cooperating? I assume that a quote from the police chief is accurate. This is strange...

Where can I put the information and pictures of the receipts of the tatical gear he bought?
I think mom would need and want an attorney. Everything she says is going to be held against her. Just that one statment she made on the phone has caused many to speculate. I don't blame her at all.

I think the original article meant that LE had not talked with family yet. Too busy talking to victims, will get to it. It was an article posted somewhere in the first few days. LE did not say family is not cooperating.

When I listened to the new conference by the family lawyer, I understood her to say she was referred to the family by someone in their church. She mentioned a lawyer would be able to explain to the family the legal process as JH goes through the court system. That was the way I understood her explanation anyway.
