H.H. Holmes body has been exhumed. Why? Because there are conspiracy theorists who believe the man buried in Holmes grave is an imposter and the real Holmes escaped to live the remainder of his life in South America.

Holmes relatives want to put that theory to sleep. which is why the body of Holmes was recently exhumed.
