I've said it before, the "Zanny did it while I was working" has to be the worst alibi in the history of crime.

There is no Zanny and Casey didn't have a job.

There is NO CHANCE of the story flying with anybody. The only reason I can come up with for Casey saying it is because something about the condition of Caylee's body will show violence and trauma Casey can't admit to,ever.

Somebody else had to be blamed and Zanny was the best she could do on the spur of the moment.

Haha. I just had a memory of one of my jobs-I worked in a vet clinic, and we had drawn up a bunch of vaccinations and they were sitting on the counter. The vets 3 yr old son was there, and squirted them all over the counter. The vet goes, "Did you do this? " The son says "No. Gekka did it." Gekka being a name he made up, a name no one would recognize or think of.
Wow, Casey, you lie like a 3 year old child. Smart.

I voted NO, because "Oh my god - this cannot be happening" sounds like she never expected Caylee to be found.

ITA, she thought she might have that Reasonable Doubt card and her parents were telling anyone who would listen that Caylee was out there and had been spotted several times.

I voted No.. I don't think she wanted the body found. I think the reason she dumped the body near by was, like others have said as well, to keep an eye out and because it is close to home. She knew the area. She probably didn't have much time to think about where to dump her. Can't be driving around with a dead body in your car, it's risky...

No.....Casey never wanted Caylee to be found

I think we are going to find that Casey did in fact "Bury" the body at that location & the bag was washed up with all the flooding.

Either that or she dumped it there temporarily with the intention of going back to either move it to another location or bury it but when she did it was covered with water.

And FWIW, I truly feel that the

"Oh God, this can't be happening!" comment behind bars was nothing more than a well orchestrated act. Sure, she took a sedative that day...but she's already off psych watch. If it were me, and my daughter's BADLY decomposed body was found and I heard that grizzy information on the news, I guarantee I'd need more than a sedative. I'd probably have a nervous breakdown.
Remember, yesterday Jose said Casey was "taking it all in stride".

INTERESTING.

Yep, talking it all in stride. Planning out her next round of lies. She needed a sedative, my a$$. You don't get over the possible discovery of you daughter's body in a couple of days!:furious::furious:

Wow I'm surprised I thought it was closer to 10-14 weeks. Once the spinal cord is complete they must feel some pain. But I always assumed it was less than adult even at term in order to survive the whole process of birth. Interesting read, thanks for sharing. Not sure how it ties in here but you learn the must fascinating things reading here!!

That "theory" is just that a theory. The pro life community and scientists have videos of a fetus experiencing pain at as little as 4 weeks. So this is a debate better left for the pro abortion, pro life representatives.

I believe that time just got away from her. She planned to move it later, and being the disorganized person she is, it never happened. First the car was towed then the rains covered it with water and she most likely couldn't find it, then she was in jail, then she was on such close restriction on her bond with the female bounty hunter that she never got the chance.

I don't know if she wanted Caylee found quickly or not, but IMO Casey did want Caylee to be found by someone. I almost think she wanted a family member in fact to find her. It is why she repeatedly stated that they should stick to searching not only "locally" but also in "familiar" and close areas to them! She is one evil woman!!! What if Lee or GA had indeed went ahead and did a search like that and had found Caylee. OMG!!!!

I voted no....but several scenarios come to mind.

she didn't report her missing and wouldn't have if Cindy hadn't intercepted her at ToneE's. Casey concocted several elaborate stories regarding her parents selling her the house. In the back of her mind she may have premeditated putting them right next to her daughter. Of course Cindy would have more fight in her than a 2 year old but after some drugs who knows?

Was Casey going to run away to california to be a high-priced escort (a la Ashely Dupree)? or was she going to have a fantasy life with TonE and give birth to many sons (she's writing a married name here all versions)...she was way into him, but knew she had to get going sooner or later because Cindy just wouldn't leave her alone, so she was plotting to visit MH in california and reveal a big secret...that she was probably still developing in her little brain.

Cindy caught her off guard and she had to do some fancy back-pedalling. If Cindy had given her "one more day"...Casey would have left immediately...but HOW? she had no car and no cash? ( a plea to MH for airfare)?

To save her own skin, Casey would have robbed Tony or anyone else who gave her the opportunity.

When push-came-to-shove, like her BFF and daughter, the "love of her life" was disposable.

I think it is hard for most to imagine just how little feeling a sociopath has for "loved ones".

LOL about your son.

But, you draw a good parallel. With 3 yr. olds it is all about them. I think Caylee is on the same level mentally.

Despite probably having a fairly high IQ and a woman's body, in most ways Casey is stunted.

Yes, I think she wanted the body to be found, but not right away. I think she wanted to make it look like a kidnapping. She had to wait 31 days so there would be some decomp.

Heck, I don't really know any more. That's just a theory I ahve. Why else would she drop so many hints to Lee?

I think she genuinely believed people would buy the kidnap story.

I think she planned on a drowning that failed (casue of death - broken neck from dropping her most likely) and the kidnapping was a last minute backup. I believe she was not clothed ("they haven't even found her cloths yet") because she was initially in a bathing suit, and who knows why she never clothed her back up, probably because they can tell post mortem that occured.

Yes - She put the body nearby so it would be found and prove her explanation of a kidnapping correct.

I haven't got a clue. if I ever felt I understood one thing she's done, I'll be scared for myself.

I mean, she may have wanted to stage a kidnapping, but then why not report it...why let it go 31 days before her mother calls 911? That doesn't fit with the 'kidnapping' plan.

I also wanted to mention that I like your signature.

I don't believe Casey wanted Caylee found.

No body...no murder. I think that was her thought process.

I don't believe she wanted her to be found.

Keep in mind that something was found that took them
right back to the house.
Casey knows what they will find with Caylee because she
is the one who put her there and she is the one who knows
what she put with her.

Why would she want them to find her if there is evidence
that will help them convict her?

I think the longer this went on the more confident Casey got
thinking she was going to get away with murder.
To be honest... without the body I don't think she would have
been found guilty.

The "close to home" "I feel she's okay" etc. was just one more
way to manipulate her family into thinking that she had
that mothers intuition and to reassure them she was okay.

The reason I feel bad for the Anthony’s is because I think Casey is good
at what she does. I think they totally fell for the nanny story and I
don’t think it was until they found the body and found what they did with
the body that the Anthony’s finally realized that Casey did this!

I don't want this to turn into a debate of a different sort, or HJ the thread for that matter......but..... It's widely regarded as fact, in the scientific community anyway, that a fetus' CNS isn't nearly developed enough to experience 'pain' until around the 30th week of gestation.

As far as the poll goes, I voted "other", there are compelling arguments on both sides in terms of Casey's intent on the discovery of the child's corpse.

Again, not to go OT, but my son was born between 26 and 27 weeks, and he appeared to experience pain, so I don't think the 30 week mark is very accurate.

NO. She hoped Caylee would never be found so she could get away with it. She only put Caylee there (close to home- in a famliar place) like most murdering mothers do.

Yes. I do believe that she wanted Klee found so everyone would then believe her story of Klee being kidnapped. This girl is not as stupid as we all think she is. I also believe that LE probably found a note along with the remains that suggested a kidnap. That's probably why they took paper and printers from the A's home. KC hoped that the note would clear her of any wrongdoing.

I voted NO. I think she was too rushed and too lazy to be bothered. IMO

I voted no, but I think I just don't know now.
I just remembered her wanting to "go searching for Caylee" PRIVATELY while on house arrest.
Was that to move the body, or to have the body located? It's hard trying to get into the mind of a psychopath.
