For crying out loud, what does this even mean? This has to be the biggest circus of all time. How can this succubus continue to manipulate? I think I'm going to start drinking Bloody Marys when I wake up next Monday morning to prepare for whatever happens.

I think we need to have a silver invitation to Mikee Daniels to join us!

Thanks YesORNo for posting his new ones in the last week as I've missed him!

:p:p

I kinda agree with you, but I also wonder why she wasted so much time with that Daryl guy. Unless...".she was thinking about life insurance money. He is quite a bit older than her and she probably wouldn't have a problem helping him on his way. Maybe he would not change his beneficiary to Jodi. Just sayin.

I think someone could speak on behalf of the killer. Probably a family member. Whoever it is, it's not likely to be anything out of the ordinary, and I do not think participants are referred to as witnesses at the sentencing phase. IOW, there should not be any type of questioning at this phase so anyone who speaks at sentencing does just that.

For once, I hope if the Killer spews she does it in secret. Don't need to hear any more from her. Let her spew in private, with no one hearing her words. Let it sink in that no one cares.

Agree that I do not want to hear from her, but after all this time...

I want to be a witness to it, and I want her to know EVERYONE is watching her in shackles and spewing her :poop: and her knowing that she is not getting away with doing it in secret

:moo:

ETA: Note to self....send a note to mods asking for a "poop" emoticon

This is the entire Jodi Arias penalty phase retrial, in order, David Lohr edits

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwxYl_sbb8Iz6yEqNE5gglA3Pf2SdSgwv

Thank you to David Lohr for paying for the footage, and taking the considerable time and effort to edit the perpetual sidebars out!

Thanks so much Zoey! YesORNo has been posting them but nice to have all in one place. I thought I would listen to more...but have only done a couple of clips e.g. Demarte days and opening/closings.

Must say, it's different listening to them after trial, in addition to not being able to chat with others while it's ongoing. Miss that aspect.

The killer waived her right to allocute prior to jury deliberations. Anything she wanted to say should have been on the record then. Here she goes, thinking she is special again.
I read both Zoey and krkrjx's recent posts and can see both sides of their arguments. Juan tried twice to argue that juror#17 should be excused with very compelling rationale. There were alternate jurors ready to step in if any inpropriety was found. To me, Juan had valid points to dismiss.
On the other hand, krkrjx has good points in that juror#17 being dismissed could have possibly become an appellate issue.
But, what is right is right, and I feel JSS should have dismissed Juror#17 based on the facts presented by Juan. Another bad call by JSS. One of many, IMO. Letting the killer testify in secret was the worst decision JSS made. That decision would have never been overturned, and we can all see now it was not.
What last shenanigans will JSS let the killer get away with? I don't think this sentencing will go off with no drama.

I wonder if any of her psych witness supporters will speak on her behalf? It would be incredibly insensitive to the Alexanders, but it didn't seem to bother them while testifying. LaViolette, anyone?

No. She has been exposed.
Here is a blog of mine from January.

#JodiArias expert #AlyceLaViolette lied to court to withdraw from case, in my opinion. Here is why.
Many things in the #JodiArias trial frustrate beyond measure, but one in particular I find outrageous.

Kirk Nurmi and Jen Willmot are perpetuating falsehoods to the court.

In the court minutes in February, 2014 we learn several things
1) Jodi Arias' defense asked for an was granted much of what would be filed in case to be sealed
2) A un-named expert asked for a subpeona to be squashed
3) A un-named expert for JodiArias asked to withdraw from the case

We know Dr. Geffner indeed remained on the case, as we have heard from him,"Ad nauseam", as Jeff Gold would say. So that leaves Dr. Samuels and Alyce LaViolette . One of them formally withdrew, and moreover asked to have subpoena squashed.

If it was ALV, as I suspect I am outraged.

The premise is ALV has been threatened and remains in fear for her life, literally, and she simply cannot emotionally, physically endure any more public ties to the #JodiArias case. Therefore, she cannot testify again.

The trouble is.........she is out giving public speeches, and interviews ABOUT THE JODI ARIAS CASE. In them she makes overt claims of prosecutor misconduct, and that is me being overly generous in my characterization of what she opines.

Jodi Arias' supporters, often misguided, exposed her in this You Tube video of her "Railing Against Jodi Arias' Prosecutor"

http://youtu.be/Ybqg3e3YPc8

She draws attention to these speeches/interviews on her own website. http://www.alycelaviolette.com/Alyce-In-The-Media.htm ( she has the particular interview marked "private" )

Here it is friends:

http://youtu.be/hbAPN4LOsdg Alyce trashes Juan Martinez throughout.

She is not afraid to be publicly tied to this case. She overtly seeks limelight about it, advertises talks she gives on it on her website.

Nurmi, Wilmott and Aylce LaViolette are lying to court on her fear factor. It is egregious. Jodi Arias lawyers also lied about Darrell Brewer being afraid to testify. Here he is saying he flew in with bells on and for strategic legal reasons Jodi's lawyers told him never mind.

Guess who posted that little gem? Once again a Jodi Arias supporter.

You just can't make this stuff up!

Here is a clue; perhaps, of some of the would be folks speaking at Jodi Arias penalty hearing

An article by Justdatruth examining JA's mental state. Shaky I'd say. Very shaky. :)

ETA Just finished reading it and found it very interesting. Didn't know about her squeezing her cat into unconciousness. Twice! Didn't agree with the shark/alligator analogy - no-one makes you go into the water and an animal is just doing what is natural to it - but that's a minor quibble. Does anyone know if it's possible to find the Dr Karp report? Tried googling but couldn't find it. I want to know more about the cat incident!

The phrase "we don't know the half of it" springs to mind with this defendant, the defense team, defense nitwitnesses, etc. I hope someday we find out the other half of it. I think we will be shocked.

What kind of witnesses are at a sentencing.? I am witnessed out. What do these witnesses say???

My guess would be "character" witnesses for the defendant. In other words-people who are willing to lie through their teeth only because they can't be cross-examined by Juan. JMO.

Seems to me the day of sentencing is merely a time for any witnesses to vent. If any of these defense statements were relevant, they should occurred during the trial. I don't doubt Jodi will speak. After all, it will be broadcast live. No more 'star' appearance will be available to her. The decision has already been made. Jodi legally declined the pre-sentencing interview. So, I don't even get the point of anyone speaking but the Alexander Family and the Judge with the official sentence.

IMO, if Jodi is ever released, she WILL kill again. Just because. This has been a learning curve for her to be extremely dangerous.

Doggone, I just have to tell you how much entertainment you've given my granddaughter during this trial.

When I'm watching her, a lot of time she's sitting in my lap as I'm scrolling through posts. She is absolutely DELIGHTED! when we come upon one of your posts with all the animated stuff. We have laughed together as I taught her to fake laugh "hahaha" to:lol: (it's hysterical!); say "eek!" to :gaah:; and she waves to the computer when you offer a simple :seeya:.

I might be missing a few, but I just wanted you to know that a little person has been highly amused by your posts. Plus, you've helped build some basic language skills.

So from my granddaughter and myself, :loveyou:.

:seeya: Hi GigiG Granddaughter ! :cupcake:

:seeya: Hi GigiG ! :cupcake:

:tyou: so much for the kind words :blushing:

I :loveyou: these :)

They cheer me up as well :happydance:

I wonder if she will have a "migraine" that day? I will be shocked if the sentancing goes off without some sort of drama &/or delay tactic by CMJA and the DT.

Does the defense go first or the state at the sentancing?

DGC, seriously ...yet :floorlaugh: You need to start a thread for emoticon stories. I think the limit here at WS is 21 emoticons in a post. It would be a hoot of a thread! You do it so well and I always smile and often laugh with emoticon posts as I know it takes skill and a fun loving person to do such!

ETA: Just came in, and as usual streaming upthread and saw Gigi's post. OK DGC.... you MUST start an emoticon thread! :giggle: Or challenge others to do such in some way as we need more laughter here!

ETA#2: :giggle: perhaps we need a :baby: :baby: :baby: :baby: :baby: emoticon thread for grandkids like Gigi's? :giggle:

:seeya: :loveyou:

BBM: :great: idea ... but as you pointed out, 21 emoticons is the limit.

I will need at least a minimum of :drumroll: 100 emoticons per post :hilarious:

:happydance:

:dunno: I'm sure there are folks here who can answer. I'm curious, too. I would also like to know how much time each side gets to argue for/against LWP vs. LWOP. I think JA deserves to be locked up for the rest of her natural life, but with the way things have gone throughout these trials, this asthmatic won't hold her breath :D

I will go to the gym and run necessary errands early on Monday so I can be home when the sentencing starts at 11:30 EDT. Instead of a migraine, I hope Jodi has a huge cold sore on her mouth that day

J17 could have been dismissed early on with no issue, imo. And Juan wanted her dismissed early on so JSS erred there, imo. Dismissing her during deliberations is another story, though.

My personal opinion is she never should have made it on the jury to begin with, as it appears Juan had cause for her being dismissed and expressed those to JSS and JSS ignored his concerns. She probably didn't even give it much thought--just did it by habit.

JM mentioned the Cat in one of the tapes during a hearing in the retrial case, sorry I don't know which hearing.

I thought this sentencing hearing would be brief; I hope JSS doesn't allow it to become another allocution/mitigation
hearing...........

lol....and, there are some who truly believe Sherry will do the right thing and sentence her pet to LWOP.....:floorlaugh:

I actually believe JSS will sentence her to LWOP. I don't think CMJA is her pet at all. I just don't see it going any other way. Do you really believe that JSS would sentence her to LWP? When 11-1 wanted to give her a death sentence and JSS has had to put up with all CMJA crap?
