Discussions on Formal Sentencing Hearing - Jodi Arias #11

Doesn't she have to have PERFECT behavior for six months or something? She may have 2400 days on her record, but we know it's far from perfect. She'll have to start over at PV, I think.

NG had a former warden on last night and he said she'll have to start in solitary.

I wish she would have got DP prison would have been a worse experience and accommodations than LWOP. Prison is much better than Jail. Many inmates in jail look forward to going to prison rather then sit in Jail 3+ years with s Bologna or peanut butter sandwich everyday. More to do in prison. Inmates can make a little life for themselves. Have jobs, go to classes, learn a trade, earn a law degree and try to overturn their sentence. Jodi will have a fan club with the female inmates. Most of the women inmates who were abused hate men or have become lesbian since incarcerated. so being she butchered Travis will gain respect from many of the inmates. She will do quite well in prison as she likes having her groupies.

I think the same think, except she doesn't like playing by the rules. I see some major infractions by her.

Sadly, the one thing she did actually tell the truth about, she was going to destroy Travis during this trial.
But she didn't, did she? She spewed everything she had out of her wonder hole and other than a couple especially unstable moonbats, no one believed her.

Time to go to your oubliette, Jodi. Time for everyone to forget you as you live out your wasted life in a cage.

Even her 'expressed remorse' could be read in an alternative way as per below. I'd think that I was overthinking it all but having gotten to 'know' Arias it wouldn't be at all surprising IMO that she is smirking inside as only she knows the true meaning behind the words she is saying.

"To this day I can't believe that I was capable of doing something that terrible (forgetting the camera and leaving a handprint)" Arias said. "I'm truly disgusted and repulsed with myself (I know I am smarter than that and am truly disappointed in myself for making a couple of basic errors that have had such repercussions). I'm horrified because of what I did (ditto), and I wish there was some way I could take it back (the camera and the handprint)."

Yes! She is incapable of remorse. Why would she feel remorse for being a victim?~ which is the role she has embraced. She lives in her own realm of lies and her minions buy into to this intricate and outrageous platform of falsehoods. As time progresses the lies only grow more elaborate, absurd & bold. Her horrible mother vomited out a revolting spew of lies in the same bold manner as her devil-daughter. These are not good people. They are vile to the core and wed to deceit. What a horror show of evil. They refuse to acknowledge an inking of reality... but the truth is evident... The emperor wears no clothes and the kingdom, which built on the darkest lies, is a sham.

Truth is persistent and patient, a golden beacon afloat in a turbulent sea of deceit. It will not founder, but will rise and again and again until all, except those who CHOOSE to be blind, will see it and know it.

I thought of a few things overnight:

1. Is it possible that Juan DELIBERATELY tried to bait Jodi when Juan talked on and on about how the family was tormented to know whether Travis was conscious and aware when Jodi started cutting his head off? It seemed to me that Juan went on for a very long time on that one point. Could it be that the criminologists thought that might provoke Jodi to speak out to aim to hurt the Alexander siblings even more?

2. I never realized this. You know how Jodi took ALL those pics' of Travis, in bed, in the shower, b4 murdering him? Well, Jodi is such an immature Narcissist, don't you think that in Jodi's mind, she was committing the perfect murder - see, there is nothing that Jodi loves better than to have HER picture taken, to be on camera, so in her twisted and immature brain, she felt she would be getting Travis elated with the 'high' of having pictures of him taken, only to pull the trick suddenly and shoot him in the head !!!

I am also thinking that what Jodi did was had Travis in that 'last' sit-down pose in the shower, and Jodi 'steps out' for sec', tricking Travis about something or other, and then Jodi returns with the gun. Travis is shot into his upper right forehead and the bullet made its way to his cheekbone on the other side of his face, and did not wreck Travis' brain much. So, the reason for that bullet angle would be that, as quick as he could (all wet in the shower), Travis twisted to the right and put his right arm on the floor of the shower to help himself get up fast, but ...boom....

Oh and the other BS card/game Team CKJA played was the whole..

It's so expensive and a financial burden for family they'd be here..

Just as an FYI..The Alexander family was not given a stipend from state of Arizona to attend TRIALS the had financial hardships mortgage, loss wages etc.. As matter of fact During first trial I personally donated enough money to cover a dinner or 2 for whole family to help with expenses....So BS on the insinuation they had it way worse financial burden than the Alexander's!!

I hadn't seen any comment about this last night, but the same thing struck me at the time - #1 Mom sure has a set of balls!

It's funny - we were hoping all through the trial that JA's facade would break and she would erupt in court, leading the deputy/bailiff to give her a nice BUZZ. But she stayed flat throughout. Yesterday between Sam and Juan they finally got that to break and it was obvious they had gotten under her skin and the real capable-of-murder JA came out vs the unflappable-wouldn't-hurt-a-fly JA.

If it was all a set-up, it worked perfectly.

What? Say that again- Zervakos changed his mind??? She could've been on Death Row already save him and Juror 17.

I suspect the other poster meant to say "I HOPE Mr hold out juror..."

As irritating as it is that we had one stealth juror in each case that caused a hang, I'm so thankful the two were not reversed. At least Z agreed on the verdict. If the two had been reversed, Ms JAII would have held out on the conviction.

Actually there were four hold out jurors in the first trial. We blame Zervakos on that because he was the stealth juror. But there were three more. So maybe it was one of them who said he realized he had been had by her lies. I cannot see Zervakos ever repenting of how he voted. He and juror 17 deserve one another.

I wonder if JA's frantic scribbling saved her from exploding before, but the chains yesterday denied her that outlet and she lost it. Ditto JSS's allowing almost nonstop trial interruptions and long sidebars, which had served the same "JA decompression" purpose. I hope JA is tormented by her avoidable missteps yesterday and before every day she's alive.

I didn't see anything in the prison handbook about "time served" being used to rack up points on arrival in prison. Anyone know where that would be?

I always got the feeling that the other three were on the fence and that he talked them out of it.

IMO, she won't get clemency. I don't think the AZ courts/citizens want to spend any more money on her. This was dragged out for too long and in the next coming days, she will fade away into total darkness where she belongs. And I hope she keeps hearing the words, "You are the worst thing that ever happened to me".

I'm guessing the State of Arizona saved a lot when it came to sentencing her to LWOP rather than the DP, since DP-ers cost a lot more to house, can't work, etc. I figure Jodi got the raw end of the deal in all this: conviction of first degree murder + the rest of her life locked in to a hellish place.

Why wouldn't she be able to do the death penalty? There's no double jeopardy if she kills again? She could get death for the second murder?

I misunderstood your franquerolane's question, so I withdraw this answer.

She sounded so immature and bratty when she said that she HAD been abused. I'm so tired, I can't remember the words exactly, but it was directed toward Samantha. She sounded like an angry child brat today and it was so odd how sometimes she would be speaking softly, with a bit of a sniffle, and then get going really fast with an angry tone. Then all of those long pauses. Only to have it all end with, "That's all I've got." The whole thing was bizarre and you can tell she feels like she's losing control. Good thing Sheriff Arpaio nailed her with all of those restrictions. It's obvious those and the family's words today have really gotten to her.

Yea. JA showed signs of how she can lose her temper and go into a fit of rage.

When she turned around and gave the evil stare when the baby started crying was another example of how she expects everyone to bend over for her and keep quiet when she is talking.

I wish we would have had a few outbursts from people in the gallery. People showed good restraint but it would have been fine by me if a few would have yelled out a few nasties at her while she was trying to talk.

Like STFU and go to your new home.

Im finally over her and just glad she is going away for good. During the trial though she showed her evilness and she is more evil than a lot of male murderers IMO.

Fox10 showed report with current spokesman for PV. He said she will be in confinement for only 30 days. Then she gets privileges. Too good for anyone who slit a mans throat.
