I'm guessing the State of Arizona saved a lot when it came to sentencing her to LWOP rather than the DP, since DP-ers cost a lot more to house, can't work, etc. I figure Jodi got the raw end of the deal in all this: conviction of first degree murder + the rest of her life locked in to a hellish place.

Agree. Especially in AZ where it is not likely she would ever be put to death.

It would be different in a state like Texas where they actually do use the DP sentence but with the way AZ seldom actually carries out the sentence for female inmates, the LWOP sentence is fine for her. She can now go away and hopefully we wont hear much about her anymore.

At least she wont get the people that support high profile Death Row criminals. Thats prolly the best advantage to getting the LWOP. Less chance of appeals I think as well.

Have sidebars come out yet? I suspect Nurmi does dislike Jodi, sure wish he could spill beans, but he can't. As for Maria...I know we can't comment on looks, but wow, after seeing her up close on video, she sure photographs better than being on video!!

My hopes for JA are this: a scratchy blanket, dirty sheets, shoes that gV her blisters, strange meat in her sammies, along w very bruised apples and any fruit...slightly off. And I hope she gets very fat and ugly...she will look much like her mother in ten yrs. Obese. All about da genes. I hope she experiences a blanket party when Sge gets into gen pop. Very painful, it breaks limbs and leaves you broken and in baaaad shape. Locks n socks will also do just fine. These r my wishes for JA, along w no dick again, ever. She will b forced to switch sides when in Rome....you know the deal. She will not b a rockstar in prison, she will be mainly....someone to b terrified of. If you r a smart inmate. And the final blow......her commissary at a zero balance because of restitution. All these things I wish on this wench from hell. She will b making pruno by week two. She may suicide, and get her wish of freedom and release...so I would put her on suicide watch two yrs min. Ev 15 min checks. No tv interviews ....she has her last 15 min of fame and it was today when she lashed out to pour salt into wounds so deep...on purpose. She will hurt someone else in jail and possibly will kill again...these r my hopes for JA.

Hey Cherry, Good morning :-) Not once in all these years have I dreamed of the murderer. Last night I dreamed of the murderer in bed with her scratchy blanket, and dirty sheets. She did not have a mattress. The murderer was very very angry, and there was a baby crying. I honestly woke myself up because I was laughing. I really really hope that’s how the convicted and sentenced murderer spent the first night in her forever cage. And I really really really hope I never have another dream of that pile of garbage again :-)

I do look forward to Sheriff Joe's report and then I will put this behind me.

Fox10 showed report with current spokesman for PV. He said she will be in confinement for only 30 days. Then she gets privileges. Too good for anyone who slit a mans throat.

Well that's not what I was hoping for. On the other hand, looking at the bright side, she'll be that much closer to meeting Angela Simpson who I wish with all my heart takes an instant and lasting disliking to the newest resident of Perryville. Bad karma for me I know...

Yea. JA showed signs of how she can lose her temper and go into a fit of rage.

When she turned around and gave the evil stare when the baby started crying was another example of how she expects everyone to bend over for her and keep quiet when she is talking.

I wish we would have had a few outbursts from people in the gallery. People showed good restraint but it would have been fine by me if a few would have yelled out a few nasties at her while she was trying to talk.

Like STFU and go to your new home.

Im finally over her and just glad she is going away for good. During the trial though she showed her evilness and she is more evil than a lot of male murderers IMO.

I'm sure when the jurors paraded in that her blood was absolutely boiling. I didn't realize who they were until reading about it later. (I wasn't on WS yesterday morning.) JW and KN had to be fuming about that as well. Or maybe KN thought it was funny since he and JA obviously hate each others' guts. I guess he only takes to non-murderous perverts.

Me too! That was the very first thing I thought of this morning when I woke up. How obsessed am I? I'll be so glad to finally let go of this case. Though I already know I'll be checking Arizona temperatures in the future far more than I ever thought to prior to yesterday...

This case from start to finish was one of the most bizarre cases I have ever seen.

I missed a lot yesterday too. I heard Wilmcott was objecting yesterday.....LOL

She doesnt get it. I dont think attorneys are supposed to be able to object during impact statements. Just incredible.

Are we going to get to see Sheriff Joe's report? That wasn't part of pre-sentencing, which Jodi waived?

That's part of her "jacket" to go with to PV or if she ever had a Chance at parole. What Joe sends PV will affect everything including her classification, job educational opportunities, housing, privileges (they ARE privileges) I suspect Joe will release highlights but maybe not the entire thing.

Fox10 showed report with current spokesman for PV. He said she will be in confinement for only 30 days. Then she gets privileges. Too good for anyone who slit a mans throat.

But according to the prison rules, she she has to have a perfect record for those 30 days. And I just don't see that happening. I believe she's been in trouble in jail a lot more than we knew about and IMO it will be hard for her to rack up enough trouble free days to keep her privileges. And she gets busted back down and has to start earning them again after infractions.

PV is not going to be the girl party Estrella was for her. No more video chats, only 20 visitors allowed on her list, her visitors have to go through background checks, way less visits than before, and she's strip searched before and after visits! Plus, giving commissary stuff to others or having others get if for her are infractions. If she tries that, there go her privileges. And that's not counting the fact that she's ,it's likely going to get beat up for her mouthiness. And it won't be with a wooden spoon!

And the best part is - no more interviews!! If her Twitter account goes on, then others are just making it up unless stuff is being sent through the mail.

During the statements I only recall JW objecting once, and the judge overruled her before JW could even say what the reason was.

:seeya: The first day of Freedom From Arias!!

I'm glad she showed her true colours to the world yesterday, and I'm glad she was dispatched to PV almost immediately. I don't personally care if she is soon in general population. She still has to sleep on a paper thin plastic mattress in that scratched up Travis Blue cell, often in suffocating heat - with the constant clanging of steel doors; echoes of hollering and cursing; and the tromping of thousands on the concrete floors. She will manipulate some (I pity anyone in the self-help group she might join), and be bullied and threatened by others. No matter how well she thinks she does, prison is still a living hell, and it's until the day she dies!

While I admit I do look forward to the Estrella behaviour report, and to any news concerning her denied appeals, she is finally gone from my daily consciousness!

I wish the Alexanders well on their road to recovery.

ETA: Sentence of Imprisonment http://www.courtminutes.maricopa.gov/docs/Criminal/042015/m6785654.pdf?hc_location=ufi

Love, love, love the "The Defendant is not to be released for any reason for the remainder of her natural life".

She took it under advisement, but she hasn't granted it yet.

But it's kind of a moot point anyway, since they're both out of the picture after some follow-up activities since the trial attorneys don't handle the appeals.

If you keep reading jss did grant it

As we know Ms. Simpson has a deep aversion to snitches. Seems I recall JA ratted out everyone she could think of including her family.
