She reminds me of convicted felon Jodi Arias. Her interview let her deceit shine through. She should be prosecuted. JSS should be removed from the bench. Janet should be fired. Defense should be disbarred. They are all criminals. So who do you think will go down first? Not one. Arizona just stinks if they put up with this. What one thing do they have in common? Hating Juan Martinez. Hope everyone is clear on that now.

JMO Okay, fair enough. You asked "Do we think she's paying for this attorney?"

Do we think as a group or are we separate individuals? How do you get from the fact that she has an attorney who contacted the media to the question of whether or not she's paying for the lawyer? Are you asking if somebody else is paying the lawyer or that the lawyer has taken her case pro bono?

There were several things I found quite interesting about juror #17s interview.

1. She picked the station that has been more favorable to JA throughout the case.
2. Her attorneys (2) setup the interview.
3. The interviewer said these particular attorneys had setup interviews in the past with this same news station.
4. The interviewer had not even kept up with the JA trial.

It made me question:
1. Who are the attorneys in question?
2. Why does she need two attorneys?

The overall short interview wasn't that revealing and pretty much went down the way I had imagined it would.

I found her to be like JA somewhat and playing the victim card. I wonder if she knew or her attorneys knew at the time of the interview airing that all the jury selection videos were going to be released before the interview?

I'd also like to know who contacted whom? Did she and/or her husband look for a lawyer, if so, who gave them the name of this one? Or, did the lawyers reach out to the juror? To me, that would be interesting.

Also interesting that keifer's still MIA and the lawyers offered the interview to this guy. That could also be a good thing precisely because this reporter didn't follow this trial.
If kiefer did the interview, I'd be soooo cynical that it would be impartial and would think "set-up". The guy kiefer is just plain weird.

The treats could be imagined. I remember JSS asking the D team and felon about producing the thousands of threats, but the D team and felon backed off and said well not so many. It was in a video released in this last trial...not so long ago. So IMOO, the juror may be trying the same tactic. They say something about 'threats' but cannot produce the evidence to support their claims. JMOO

Just re-listened to that bit again about Jennifer Pittman and the Judicial Assistant drama, and Nurmi says that Pittman was questioned in chambers and so was your "then and now assistant".

Curious that Nurmi and Juan have distant recollections but JSS doesn't seem to remember that she already had the specifics she just asked for e.g. JP's name or that she has already questioned both parties about it. So much so that she wants to get it on the record that the assistant "adamantly denies" it. I'm sure she has loads going on all the time so 'meh' but with that kind of drama between courtroom staff you'd think it would be squashed immediately then monitored for a bit for the sake of all the cases these two individuals have to work together on.

In her defense, Juan did not bring up that she already had JP's name either. Maybe he also forgot the details of that particular in-chambers meeting. I don't doubt it since there were so many they must all blur together. But then again, this wasn't his staff so it probably was not nearly as important to him as I'd think it would be to JSS.

I just listened to this part for the first time after I saw talk about it on Twitter. The fact that she emphasized ADAMATLY struck me and I was floored that she had no recollection whatsoever that this had been discussed at a prior sealed (of course) hearing. I get that it was a few years ago but you would think she would remember a personal assistant being accused of jury tampering and saying they want the prosecutor stabbed!!!!!!!!

I personally think that Kiefer knew we would all blow off any interview with him and this juror from the start, but I do think he had a hand in getting it. We all know to have the interview with Kiefer this juror would have to be so far up JA backside to meet him face to face.

IMO Juror #17 is milking this. Why would anyone in their right mind keep this going? I could see a statement being released per her Lawyer/s. Then go on about your life. Oh No she has to drag this out over several days of Interviews and at this point all I have heard is it's all about "Me"

O/T but The Jinx is trending on Twitter and Robert Durst confessed (albeit accidentally, he had a hot mic) to the killing of "all of them" last night. He has since be rearrested as of Saturday and I cannot find any forum on WS about it. We're talking about a serial killer here and I'd love to have a forum for it.

I doubt it's a pro bono case. Jeez people. Why leap to far-reaching conclusions like that?

With all due respect Daisy, I think it is fair to consider the possibility it is a pro bono case, and I would even go so far as to consider the possibility that this juror's "cause" has been taken up by special interest groups or anti-DP advocates.

Here is a juror who essentially saved the life of someone from the DP, whose integrity and honesty have been called into question first and foremost by her fellow jurors. She refused to do the presser with the original 11 jurors and now has 2 attorneys, these attorneys chose a specific station (with a possible agenda driven bias in their reporting) to do an interview, the interviewer covers politics not trials and hasn't covered the Arias case, and finally the interview so far reveals that this woman is being given a platform to "state her case", there have been no hard hitting questions, and there has been zero mentioned about the victim in this case nor the trial itself. JMHO but so far the interview appears to be a blame fest in which the public, the system and her fellow 11 jurors have wronged her.

There is definite theme so far, and while I will wait for the entire interview to play out, it looks as if this is not a journalistic interview but instead is an agenda driven piece.
