Oh yeah, I totally agree! The point I was trying to make is that if the director was walking by and saw an art project (the signs) and posing for video, she would have probably assumed that whatever Jill was doing was in line with the Club's policy already. It's such a no-brainer policy! Why question the activity?

I gotcha! :D *Grumbling at director* I still think the director needs to be held responsible for what goes on there - that's why they're a Director. Overseer responsible for all in that particular domain. I know it's easy for me to say this, but if I were the Director of a particular location I would think (I may be wrong, but I would still think it, lol) I would be ultimately responsible for everything going on there. Even if I wasn't ethical or professional (just saying stuff's possible) I'd be concerned that nothing would come back to bite me. IF they knew what the video was about - that's cause for concern, too. Allowing that video to be made in the first place, forget being distributed, would show a serious lack of common sense. Assuming the director had no knowledge of who ja is, they should have AT THE VERY LEAST done a cursory investigation just out of curiosity. Maybe most people aren't as curious as we are :)

Man, what idiots. All that ____________ need are some ultra gullible, weak-willed people to believe and it progresses to throwing common sense, good sense, morals and ethics out the window.

Amazing.

The blank space above, I was going to use the word 'cults', but I understand why some people get into religious cults in the first place and I feel sad for those people and I would never want to think ill of anyone looking for help or love and acceptance. They're lost and looking for good things (religion is a good thing for most people) and it evolves into weirdness. if it was weirdness from the gitgo, and then who would want to join them? I think they're lured into one thing that turns into something different.

This little ja admiration society is something else entirely and those are the people I refer to as weak-willed, gullible and lacking in common sense. These people are not lost, there's something wrong there.

I just started to read the manifesto, and I hope you get a chance to read it as well, but I just wanted to pop back over here and alert everyone that their eyes could actually roll back into their heads if they do read it. The level of self importance and the attempt to use big words and show off her knowledge is so great that I felt it important to issue this possible health side effect :)

Is it here on WS? I thought we had seen parts a long time ago or am I misremembering?

Update: The article should be out within an hour or 2. It has to go through edit and legal before it can be published. Hang tight #JodiArias
Reading thru his tweets are really some hilarious, witty tweets to him as well. He did say that "he's not teasing, this is huge". People commenting how many of the killer's supporters are deleting their accts., some are saying it's done & we will not tweet anymore. It's really not a big leap that 'something' has happened that everyone is suddenly 'going away' the same day within hours... I also agree 'follow the $$'. That's really where a lot got started from once MLDR got involved with the killers support site & became admin of the pay pal acct for her. Then Arias family started the big war with them about the $ not going to jodi. and so on it goes...

That says to me she is not DP qualified. She wanted to be a part of the sensationalism of this trial. She didn't care about justice.

MaLou - EXCELLENT POINT! "17 says she doesn't know if she would want death if her son was murdered. "

You nailed it.

I cant wait. LOL

Seriously though. I think its only natural to be glad to see the hammer starting to fall on all the shanigans that have went on.

We have waited years to see justice and we all knew there were lots of games being played and a lot of them seemed to be sneaky if not illegal. So its only natural to be glad to see some of it crumble down finally.

Just wish JA could hurry up and be sentenced and sent to where she belongs.

I have heard as much as 3.7M was spent on trial...whatever the figure....where did THAT all go?? Much less her fundrAISING. That might be another reason she is in meltdown....maybe those video chats WERE taped...:)

Correct. The director only publicly addressed the issue that caused the teacher's firing -- the uploading of material to social media in violation of their policy. To address the content of the video or any opinions around that would be inviting trouble and it's not up to the public to determine the Boys & Girls club policies. As Olivia Pope would say, "it's handled!"

I think you are missing the social implications of this wrong doing. If the director is going to make a public statement it needs also address the social implications. Letter of the law vs spirit of the law.

This might not be their policy, but common sense would say that it is wrong to teach young people to support a killer wether or not anything was uploaded or an internal policy was violated.

The public wasn't upset over the internal policy being violated, they were upset about a killer being used as an example of a DV victim. When the director made a statement I think the public was hoping that this would be addressed. Especially since the Boys & Girls Club is a public community organization who's goal is, "Inspiring and enabling all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens".

For all we know, tomorrow another teacher could do a lesson on being a "gentleman" and use Ted Bundy as an example and according to the Boys & Girls Club of America's policy this would be ok as long as it didn't viloate their policy?

Thanks, ElleElle. Sometimes I find that the most biased folks are the ones who say they only pay attention to facts. Often this is because they choose the facts they want to pay attention to. Not being open to new facts and how they come to bear on a conclusion is another red flag, IMO.

Someone who is adept at being mindful of the truth is generally willing to hear other people's opinions and other sources to see if there are any holes in the argument.

I also think this is one of the thought processes for many personality disorders...Isn't that what "black and white" thinking is? Is that what it's called?? I learned about it during the first trial...

As a spectator of this trial from the very beginning, I have experienced everything from anger, shock, confusion, sadness, outrage, helplessness, and everything in between. And now, with all of the new information that is coming out, particularly in light of the old information that we know was withheld in this trial for legal reasons, I just have a deep sense of disillusion about the pursuit of justice through truth in the court system.

However, I hope that the lessons learned from this trial will not be wasted. The absolutely abhorrent things that have been exposed through this farce of a trial should be the catalyst for change by any and all available avenues, we as a people should in no way stand for the bastardization/subversion of truth when true justice is on the line. I know that I won't.

Oh my!! I wonder if it has to do with the money?? It would be hilarious if one of the felon/con artist supporters took off with it all!!!

If so, that'll teach them to let "the fox guard the hen house"!!

Most of the monies (direct costs) went to pay for the defense attorneys and all those resources. It can be very expensive to litigate a DP case, especially when one side is trying to draw the phase out to infinity & beyond.

The state's costs don't include the fixed costs such as building expenses, salaries of state and county employees, utilities, etc etc.

Me too. They are writing and saying it is really "Big" news. If MDLR's deleting of her Twitter account and some of her FB friends is any indication, there may indeed be some truth to it being big news. I sure do hope so!!!
