I'm "buying" the overall truth of the Examiner article. It is really not that over the top or inflammatory. References to MDLR would have to have been researched diligently otherwise they might be libelous. The article doesn't mention anything extreme in the way of scrutiny of financial transactions: you can tell, because many of us WS-ers are familiar with these kinds of investigations, at least in a bare bones kind of a way. Only small amounts of money were cited, when there might be a temptation to throw in something much bigger. Plus, we know that Jodi's transactions into and out of her commissary account have not gone unnoticed (thank you, Sheriff Joe). And the article really just solidifies what we knew all along: there's a lot fishy in Jodi's finances.

So, all in all, I don't see anything incredible in the article.

I agree! I also have a very hard time believing they would put this story out there without some solid proof to cover their rear-ends with. I realize the examiner is not always the beacon of journalistic excellence, BUT putting this stuff out there opens them up to major litigation if it is not true. It is one thing to infer wrong doing, it is something completely different to out and out state it. Maybe it is because I want someone to pay for their dirty deeds in this case, but I think we will find this story has legs.

I think the most obvious lesson of the JA farce is what the framers of the Constitution already knew-- secrecy is poisonous. Trials are supposed to be public because it is in the public's name that justice is sought. Deprive the public of knowing the whys and whats of the process and we will fill in the blanks.

Because secrecy deprives us of the right and opportunity to be informed, what we will conclude will be based not on facts, but on our individual suspicions and biases and worldviews---the antithesis of the result our justice system was intended to yield.

JSS should be held accountable, IMO, not solely for any single one or even the sum total of her egregious decisions, nor even for the harm her decisions have caused the Alexanders, but for the damage she has done to the perceptions of many that there is no justice or fairness or decency to be had in her courtroom, or for some, in any court of law.

I hope those of you in AZ have long memories, and think of her in 2016.

Wow I just got caught up. We went out last eve just before the news broke. This is good. Anything that upsets Jodi and her minions makes me happy. Now to see what comes of this.

MLDR: "#JodiArias did not have a breakdown in jail."

This is the only statement from MLDR I believe. She did NOT have a breakdown....she had a hissy fit or rage. Jodi
is spoiled and did not get her way.

I think there is a bunch of truth to the story and all will come out soon enough. The part that kind of seals it for me is that MDLR reached out to Troy Hayden (yummy eye candy) while he was on air with Fox News Now. She wanted to get it out to Troy b/c he has a fan base. Problem is no one believes her. To put something out there like this you better have your facts to back it up or you will go down. Just have to sit back and hope justice actually takes its course right on through JA and crew.

MLDR called into Fox 10 news yesterday and spoke to Troy Hayden. The call was not recorded on the air. This is a post from their conversation.

Troy Hayden's twitter:

.

MDLR: "I am not handling any money" for #JodiArias. "I have not had my Twitter subpoenaed." "I closed down my Twitter because of threats."

and

MDLR: "#JodiArias did not have a breakdown in jail."

As someone else said though, if her Twitter account was being investigated she would be the last to know. Records would be obtained directly from Twitter.....

Yes, I hope she ended up in one of those restraint chairs with the spit mask on....

For sure JA has become "fixated" on Troy, similar to how she went after Travis in the beginning, i.e. her continuing voicemails and letters to him. MDLR undoubtedly was told by JA to call him. Maybe Troy has quit responding to JA and she is getting frustrated. She always entangles other people in her dirty work. Troy better watch out, JA is tenacious x100. imo

I agree she would not know until it was too late. The police, FBI, sheriff's department or whoever is investigating this fraud is not stupid. There is a digital trail of information that has ALREADY been obtained. The people at the top of the JAII website might skirt over to another country but the bottom feeders who are in the US will take the rap. If the IRS gets involved, they need all the help they can get. The IRS shows no mercy. If this investigation has been going on for months or years they have so many documents, IP addresses and names of everyone involved.

That is why the rats have been jumping ship....they got wind of the investigation.

Once again her total lack of professionalism shows. That should have been a "No Comment". If she wasn't asked, she shouldn't have brought it up. As a member of a defence team, MDLR is way too involved with the drama of social media. Her judgment, IMO, is so poor that I have every reason to believe she is deeply entrenched in the Arias cesspool.

The person who wrote the Examiner article just tweeted that they can not provide more details at this time.

She said she cannot name the source who provided banking information that connects the DT members
with Jodi's bank accounts. According to her a high level source is involved in the investigation and that the
investigation has been ongoing for some time.

BBM Why would a high level source in the investigation pass this information on to a prolific tweeter and a web-based journalist? It seems very odd to me that an agency investigating this would pass on that type of information to any journalist at this point, let alone two relatively unknown sources, outside of this trial any way. Even if they received information, it doesn't seem like it could be more than a confirmation that an investigation was taking place. I would LOVE for this information to be uncovered if it is true, I'm just skeptical at this point.

They would also not necessarily know about the investigation into their banking activities. The reporting and investigation mentioned previously in this thread done by the banking industry is done without the knowledge of the account holder/owner and the banking institution can get into big trouble for disclosing the investigation to the account holder and at least one of those reports is even exempt from the FOIA, if I remember correctly.

I think donations are about to dry up. I don't have a link but before the retrial started I recall reading in MSM that her donations/art sales totalled around 30,000.00 which wasn't enough for a retainer for a good appeals attny, but depending on who had access to the monies, and the figures being thrown around about how much she was spending at the commisary every month, she probably has no where near that much left.

Defense team "members"? As in plural? Sheesh. Nurmi and Wilmott too?

That is why it's so funny to me that she deleted her Twitter account. Like that makes a difference?? The records can still be obtained. They all think they are so sneaky, but the trail was there the second they did any and all of these alleged activities. Nothing anyone does electronically is private - nothing!
