Flame me all you want, but I'm glad the Dixie Chicks won at the Grammys, especially if there was some politics involved in the win.
As my conservative DH said this evening, it's getting to the point where you can't state your opinion anymore. You voice a view that differs from others and you get attacked and bashed. If you're offended by people's comments, boycott them till the cows come home. That's the beauty of our system--you can safely disagree. The problem is that our culture has taken that right to mean you can also disparage the people you disagree with.
BTW, I also happen to be a big Dixie Chicks fan and think that their Grammy win was based on talent, not politics.
