I just copied DNA Doe Project's Facebook post. I thought they provided a really good explanation of what is going on with the spreadsheet.

It's not me doing any of that. Thanks for the vote of confidence tho! LOL!
I thought you are a DDP volunteer. Anyway thank you for posting it, it makes clear why some cases have not been uploaded to FTDNA!

I checked to see if any NamUs pages were down for any of the does, and none are, but interestingly, Rockledge Jane Doe's NCMEC link links to a dead link. I'm not sure if it was just a typo or if it's anything significant.

I'm going under the assumption the link is just wrong or something, since her NamUs is still up.

Interesting tidbit with the DDP's "Year in review" post. I can't get any higher resolution, but apparently 3 more cases aside from the Harper Jane Doe and other tentatives are pending announcement.

There is a comment from Margaret under this post, it says that there is a typo and actually 12 more cases and not 3 are identified but not announced.

They have 58 cases formally classified as active, so 46 are still unsolved. 11 are pending cases. 6 stalled cases. 4 solved cases where we know which Does have been identified but not their names or whether their identities will be released. They also work on multiple cases from California who died in the Camp Fire in 2018. I'm also excited to see what new cases they'll take, especially older ones.

I think with the camp fire victims its only 2 victims.

I wonder what they mean by this though, whether it's tentative identifications or if it's 12 cases waiting to be announced by LE.

There was another comment from Margaret, somebody asked if there will be announcements from for the 12 solved cases, Margaret answered:
“if and when the agency is able to confirm, and plan their own announcements. We always follow their lead. COVID has delayed them since they can't travel, and prefer to meet with families in person”

I personally will be surprised looking at the numbers on the spreadsheet if Nation River Lady, Pulaski co Jane Doe, Allegan co John doe and may be Mowry Jane Doe are not among the 12, for the others there are many cases which have similar chances, hopefully we will hear some announcements soon!

I have noticed that there is almost a geometric progression of the DDP solved cases per year:
2018 - 6 cases
2019 - 12 cases
2020 - 26 cases (but i believe two were solved in 2019)
The progress is amazing! Thanks, the DDP wonderful team of volunteers! Keep it up, DDP!

I hope they get more new cases this year! I'm not sure if it was because of the pandemic, but new cases seemed to peter off towards the mid-to end of the year, I remember last December we had like 5 new cases, where this year we hade none. More agencies may just be doing their own investigation too.

I really hope Morill Co. gets in contact with them soon.

Allegan, Pulaski, Nation, and Charlene are all on my list. Mowry *maybe* not since she's so new, and DNA comparison can take a long time.

This. People have their pet cases they hope to see solved, but I'm more glad to see that cases are being worked on.
