Yeah, no new cases loaded into GEDMatch for quite a while now. I' wonder if it's still due to lab delays due to Covid.
I hope they have more cases lined up and that’s the case, they may just not be wanting to list cases as “Waiting for Extraction”

The DDP has three new cases!
Matilda Ottawa Co 1994 (MI) NamUs #UP9900 at lab for extraction
Jenny Ottawa Co1967 (MI) NamUs #UP17581 at lab for extraction

I could not find the thread for the third one:
Box Mike 1998 (AZ) NamUs #UP1952 at lab for sequencing

Also Newton Co "Brad" Doe 1983 is now an active case and has been added to the Gedmatch!

And 2 more Phoenix ones:
• Jane Doe Phoenix 2017 (AZ) NamUs #UP16996 at lab for sequencing
AZ - AZ - Maricopa Co, WhtFem, 44-70, Tats: Laura n Layla; Stuart w/rose, No Teeth, Jul'17

• John Doe Phoenix 1983 (AZ) NamUs #UP1902 at lab for sequencing

A new update of the spreadsheet: Joan has added the admixtures and Oracle sheets for all the open cases! Thank you, Joan!

If both had Ashkenazi Jewish heritage, that indeed is likely. Most share a distant relative. Plus that endogamy makes matches appear closer than they are. It makes id very tricky.
We were right! According to the Oracle sheets added today to the spreadsheet they are both of Ashkenazi heritage. Actually as hypothesized by somebody else another DDP case: Reservation Rd Jane Doe found in Washington in 1981 is of Ashkenazi Jewish heritage as well. Actually a very tragic case as well.

Let me try again.

"I'm not sure if they will announce one of their unannounced solves soon."

There is a new article about one of the Ridgway’s victim “Bones 17” and it seems that the extraction was not successful, I suppose the attempts of extraction were done with the assistance of the DDP or Parabon (two other previously unidentified victims of Ridgway were taken by the DDP and this Jane Doe was discussed previously in this thread). According to this new article it seams this case can be a tough case even on the early stages.

“Forensic evidence indicates Bones 17 was probably in her mid- to late teens at the time of her murder. The Sheriff’s Office also has sought to use familial genealogy to identify Bones 17, but so far have had no luck”.

Investigators hope new DNA-enhanced sketch of ‘Bones 17’ gives Green River victim a name

Shame, but it's what happens sometimes it seems. I wonder if Othram will take a crack at it.

Apparently there was an update according to Facebook on the 5th, but I can’t see anything different.

I have seen it too and I think they have changed the names of the new cases, the Phoenix cases have now different names

-Jane Doe Phoenix 2017 (AZ) is now Laura-N-Layla Phoenix Jane Doe 2017 (AZ)
-John Doe Phoenix 1983 (AZ) NamUs #UP1902 is now Baseline John Doe Phoenix (AZ)

I did not notice any other changes...

Mowry Jane Doe has a new official reconstruction on Namus:

It looks like a ton of cases are getting new reconstructions suddenly actually.
I just noticed it occasionally on Namus, the style of it looks familiar, but I don’t know the name of the forensic artist. Actually I was so sure she has been identified because she has the highest match of all the DDP cases = 485.7 cM (now only Brad has a higher match), I am surprised to see a new reconstruction of her.

It seems that Grant County John Doe is now fully funded

I thought it was the NCMEC at first, but it’s missing their watermark, I wonder if it’s Catyana Falsetti, it looks similar to the Grant County John Doe now that I look at it
