In the early days she literally hid behind it. She never spoke a word, just held cuddle cat in front of her face while Gerry ran the show.

I believe the little girl in question has a coloboma - you know, the eye defect Team McCann publicised heavily even though they were warned it could cause Madeleine to be murdered.

One reason they ignored these warnings could be that they knew Madeleine was already dead. If this is the case, the way they have wilfully misled the public is beyond shameful...it is criminal.

They have the entire world looking for their child.

I don't know if I would use the word disgusting, but it must be pretty upsetting for the parents and the little girl to have this happening over and over. Clearly the NZ police are confident that she is not Madeleine, yet she still has to have a DNA test done. I don't know, I would be unhappy with people suggesting my daughter isn't mine!

I guess if the McCanns did have something to do with their daughter's disappearance (and probably death), as I believe (and many others do, too), it seems wrong that they allow this to go on - this little girl and her parents have been harassed about this, the McCanns know she can't possibly be Madeleine and yet have said nothing and allow the harassment to continue, to the point where they feel they have to give her DNA to settle it.

Yes, I think that is why they agreed to give her dna, to stop the harrassment. BTW the police ruled out the previous sighting or sightings if you believe the papers it was five times! I just thought it was disgusting for any parent to be asked to prove their child was their own by dna as if all number of other methods were not enough. Wouldnt a photo of the girl being sent to the mccanns not have been enough? What parent wouldnt recognise their child.SURELY just testing her dna against her parents would have been a last step BEFORE sending it off to the UK to prove to the British she wasnt Kates kid.

In any case, surprise surprise apparently UK police have now said she is not Madeleine after dna tests

There is a huge amount of misinformation about this case thta continues to be spread by a few people.
This is a good site for dispelling myths because it actually looks at the hard evidence and the sources.

I would be very careful with some of the mccann files sites etc because the english versions have not been translated very well, and in some case bits have been missed out to change the context. mccann pj file sis a bit better, but I woudl avoid the mccann files and geryrmccann logs site as they often contain mistranslated material are are very bias.

You may also have to be careful with some of the news stories because it turned out that false information was printed (the webiste for the leveson inquory goe sinto more detail).

I would also avoit forums because htere are some that have been set up just to harress the parents and contain lots of false information (the false claim that the mccanns spent millons on legal fees in libel cases came form someone on one of these hate sites).

Just for the record the mccanns won their UK court case, and were awarded costs, and the accused received a very scathing judgement from the judge who said he seemed to think that rights were only for himself not his victims (the mccanns).

In the final report by the Portuguese attorney general it was stated that there were no indications the McCann's and Robert Murat had committed any crime. It points out that the evidence the police initially thought they had did not come to anything, and it also says it would have to be explained how the McCann's could have hidden a body in the short time available.

Last year Scotland yard said they believed Madeleine was taken in a criminal act by a stranger. They would not make such a statement if non strangers had not been discounted. According to UK media there are up to twenty people the PJ did not look into enough including paedophiles who had been in the area. I do not believe Kate's story her use of the word THEY took my child.....I believe the dogs hit on the boot of that rental car as much as I Believe Cindy knew caylee was dead. On film.i believe Gerry is complicit in illegal disposal of her body.
