Does Cindy Know that Casey Killed Caylee?

I'm not so sure that CA knew about it before the jail house interview with GA and CA. Because, in those moments, KC is getting angry and totally "frushtrated" at the parents: not catching onto, or "grasping" her KC code; that being, she wants to tell them what really happened to Caylee--translation, that she did it. Remember she specifically states that she wants to meet with GA, not CA to talk with him, IMO: give the news?

BTW, did that private meeting with GA ever take place?

No, the meeting with GA did not take place. LE had him wait for hours while JB convinced KC not to do it.

Looking back at the tapes now, I can almost see when Cindy realizes Casey is lying about everything and probably did it.

I know I'm in the minority here, but no, I don't believe that Cindy thinks Casey killed Caylee. I do believe that she now thinks Caylees death was an accident, and Casey panicked and made some very bad decisions and made a story up to cover the truth. (as she has probably always done).

I think despite what Cindy's initial fears were, that Casey convinced her that the nanny did steal Caylee. Much easier for your mind to accept then your original fears, and a relief because there is a possibility they will have her back. I saw a grandmother who in each jail visit was still desperately trying to get information from her daughter to help find her grandaughter. Whatever doubts they may have had (subconscious) I believe was pushed aside, and to function they had to hold on to hope and only that. That's how they lived up to the point of them finding out for sure that Caylee was found dead. After that, I think they have come to the realization that the story they were told by Casey is just that, a story made up so that they don't hate Casey for being so irresponsible and letting something happen to Caylee.

This is exactly what I think. I think she feared the worst but when KC said the nanny took her she freaked but also was somewhat relieved...this was an alternative explanation she hadn't thought of! Her mind rationalized the smell, and saw everything in perspective of the nanny story. Watching her on the jail tapes, I can't think she was playacting or covering (at that point). She was desperate. I think in time, at some point when the lies kept coming she did know something was up but was desperately hoping that everyone was wrong and her stories were right. Now I think she's rationalized that it was an accident that she panicked about.

Me too. The Casey Angry in Jail tape. Caylee's birthday has passed and so has CA's Timer 55 theory hope. She starts crying the minute KC comes in which irritates KC. She spends a lot of time with her head in her arms.

Yes, Cindy knows...but I don't think Casey has admitted anything to her. She just knows. She may believe as George told 'River' that 'it was an accident that spiralled out of control' but if she had heard that from Casey herself there would have been an admission from Casey and she wouldn't be facing Murder 1 charges with the DP on the table.

I think Cindy's wall of denial is coming down slowly brick by brick and it will take her years to see in her own mind what really happened to Caylee, and with that the depth of her own daughters psychopathy.

I think that's why the A's don't visit. I don't believe for a second that CA would be held back from seeing and supporting her only daughter in jail if she believed she was innocent. MO

I believe CA and ICA spoke in the car when they left JB's office in October. ICA was turning herself in, and she made up some story about Caylee dying by accident. CA, GA nor LA ever visited ICA after she went to jail which speaks volumes to me. What could they possibly say to one another? I think CA, and GA are just showing up at the hearings for the media. As ICA said, "my mother has told me she will never forgive me if anything happened to Caylee". The family is laying low now, because CM put the brakes on them. I bet CM said, if you open your mouths I'm gone.

Personally, I think that mentally Cindy is gone. Even if Casey admitted killing Caylee to Cindy, Cindy would not accept it. It would simply not compute and she would rationalize and fantasize about the 'real' killer or what 'really happened. If her wearing Caylee's ashes around her neck and THEN claiming Caylee is still alive is not a sign of illness I don't know what is.

Then there's the trashing/stealing of the memorials, the vitriol toward Tim Miller, it's all about control for her. I feel sorry for Cindy's victims and I hope she is brought to justice as well. I can understand some denial for a while, but we're going on 2 years here. This is more than enough time for a person to digest the truth.

I think that Cindy knew the moment that she smelled the car after she and George retrieved it from the impound lot that there was a great possibility that Caylee was dead. Cindy may have hoped that it was someone, anyone else other than Caylee but she began to suspect the truth at that moment. Then when Cindy finally found Casey, without Caylee, it began to become more real for her. Cindy, in hopes that she was wrong, tried to bully Casey into taking her to wherever Caylee was. Call 911, the cops will make Casey talk, they will make Casey take Cindy to Caylee. By the time that third 911 call happened Cindy knew the truth completely. This is why Cindy is as upset as she is during that final call. The truth had smacked her in the face and she was realizing what that smell meant.

Then we have the big cover-up. Not only does Cindy cover for Casey she makes George and Lee cover for Casey as well. Cindy tells anyone who will listen that the LE and searchers are looking for a dead Caylee when they should only be looking for an alive Caylee, however behind the scenes Cindy has "her people" (D. Casey) looking in the woods not far from the home for a dead Caylee. When Caylee is finally found Cindy claims that they aren't sure it is really Caylee. Tests prove it is. Cindy has a memorial for Caylee, wears Caylee's ashes "like a good grandmother would do" but then says that they (she and George) aren't 100% sure that it really is Caylee. Again, another lie to the public. I do not know of anyone who would not only wear a charm filled with a strangers ashes but pay for that charm as well. Cindy knows and has known for more than a year now.

The last video visitation tape is chilling. Who can forget a chirpy, happy-go-lucky KC saying "Good Morning!" and "Hi! I love you, too" (speaking to George) when it begins......followed by her smirky, smiling observation of Cindy (who is clearly devastated here), "Why is she crying already?? <chuckle heard from KC>". Cindy can hardly bear to even look at the video screen in those first moments of the tape. JMO.....

She must have known she was torturing them.....I wonder if she actually enjoyed it - playing everyone and watching everyone turn on each other around her in frustration...I think she did. I think she enjoyed watching her parents lose their minds in despair. She even added to the anguish by throwing in some false sex abuse allegations. She really is pure evil.

It has been more than long enough time now that one would think CA would be honest with herself but just not gonna happen. I believe that G and CA as well as LA all were fully aware that Caylee was gone before they even made the 911 call. IMO GA and CA specifically put the pieces together when they got the car, then CA went into control freak mode and began working her cover-up by cleaning the car etc. Before CA made the first 911 call CA came into Casey's room where she and Lee had been talking and Cindy said "Casey what have you done?" I will have to now go look to find the statement that LA makes in regards to this!

If Cindy didn't know from the get go when Casey was arrested and this story first broke (July 16th 2008) that Casey killed Caylee, why did she not once plead for whomever had Caylee to return her OR plead for her killer to be found and brought to justice? It just doesn't make sense to me at all. After the "dead body in the damn car" smell in the Pontiac became "rotting pizza," the focus was on a 'live Caylee' and 'Caylee sightings.' Where was her outrage that someone had taken her granddaughter and pleading for her return and their arrest? I don't recall any of that. Because there was none. Instead, Cindy spent all her time and energy in front of the camera's defending Casey's innocence and criticizing LE. That is not the way a grieving grandmother behaves, IMO. So yes, I believe Cindy knows now and knew then that Casey killed Caylee.

You may be right. It would explain why nobody is outraged LE aren't looking for the real killer. Notice GA was absent for the last hearing. The first court appearance post the penpal letter.' I may have been assaulted by my father too but can't remember' That was pretty telling.

What I see in that video is CA putting on one of her poorest woe-is-me acting performances, and KC delighting in her mothers "anguish". Cindy doesn't really begin to act pathetic until she sees KC start to appear on screen. It's one of the most dysfunctional exchanges between a mother and daughter I've ever witnessed.
