Dog the Bounty Hunter #2

  • #201
Tucker does seem to be the black sheep of the children and Dog has actually been quoted on the Donnie Deutsch show as saying 'Tucker is not his favourite son' which isnt reallyt what a child wants to hear Im sure.

However this is not the first time Tucker has sold a story on his father. Just a few months ago Tucker apparently got $15000 for a story that Dog disappeared! Not quite sure what that means in this case but thats what they say!

Maybe we can all learn something. It could be a new reality show.
How about calling it "Teaching an Old Dogg New Tricks" ?

Bottom line is: This never could have happened if he didnt use such language. Maybe A&E could make lemons out of lemonade by hosting such a show.
Would anybody watch it?
[/QUOTE]

I would, if was a show where there was honest dialog (sp?) and not some silly, scripted reality show. Where there was an opportunity for people of ALL races/cultures to express their feelings and concerns. But not a show where white people were basically ganged up on and blamed for everything.

That's a good point, shopper.

Besides, if whites are blamed for everything wrong,
they must also be credited for everything good! ;)

I might watch it too if the participants, as you say, were not only not scripted but also had an honest love of our country and a desire for all Americans to work together as teammates ... for that matter, since the use of racial and sexual slurs exists in most countries, such a show might be an international hit, since Americans are more used to speaking their minds than citizens of most other countries. hmmmmm .........

Sad. That's something a parent should never say within earshot of his/her children. (plus Dogg, himself, doesnt have a lily white past either)

Still, since Tucker just got out in 2006 after spending four years in prison, it might be a fun idea for somebody to hire a PI who would put a directional mike on both Monique and Tucker when they're out in public.

Wow, I'm sure that really is hard for Tucker to not only know he's not a favorite, but for it to be acknowleged by Dog verbally. I wonder how much (if any) Dog participated in raising Tucker, or any of his older children? With him having so many kids with so many different women, I'd think his attention and participation with each of them would be minimal.

But Tucker seems like a nasty dude and he may contribute heavily to his father not liking him. Liking and loving someone are two different things completely.

Yes, that would be quite interesting.;) What Dog said is wrong, but I'm not liking the sympthay for Tucker either. (Not talking specifically to WS, I've read on a couple of other boards about "poor Tucker").

Think of some of the private conversations you've had and ask yourself how you would feel if they had been broadcast to the public - we have ALL used the "n" word at one time or another - among other derogatory terms to describe a person's race, ethnicity, etc....and if by chance there is someone out there who is absolutely perfect and has never uttered a defamatory phrase or word....please tell us how you do it because I want to be perfect too.....

I can honestly say that I have never used that word or any other derogatory term to describe someone of another race.
How do I do that? I just don't think in those terms. It was never used in my home growing up and it is not used in my home now.

Lucky you. You're probably in a minority. I heard it plenty when I was growing up and I hear it plenty now -- almost exclusively from blacks. How about whites agree to stop using the word as soon as blacks do? :p

That is so true, csds703!
The whole moral equivalency thing of "everybody does it"
is no more true of using racial slurs than it is of sexual infidelity.

Anytime my mom heard any of us kids using a "bad word" of any kind, she would immediately admonish us, "Your father and I don't use that language, and neither will you in our house."

My mom and dad (like yours) were not hypocrites.
They really never did use that language, even when angry.

Wonder what percentage of parents of all races are such good role models to their children?

*I personally cringe at the 'n' word when it is used by ANYONE. White, black, red or purple.

*I honestly don't think that Dog is a racist.

*If the 'n' word is offensive when a white person says it, QUIT promoting the use of the word via music and other media outlets. If you don't want a white person to use that term, when an black person says it in any context it should be considered just as offensive. Stop the double standard.

*It does not matter if the word ends with an 'a' or an 'er' it is the same word

*No matter how anyone feels about the word itself, dog said the word in a PRIVATE conversation in his own home. He has the right to say what ever he wants in his own home.

*I think that Tucker who was aware the conversation was being taped may have pushed a few buttons that he knew would set his father off. (I have not heard the recording as of yet)

*even if Tucker did not push dogs buttons, the act of taping the conversation and selling it for money is just disgusting. To sell his father out shows his greed and speaks volumes on his character. I am then left to wonder what type of girl he attracts.

*I don't believe that Dog should be fired for an act that occurred in his own home on his own time. Man if I could have been canned for the things I said at home I would have lost my job in the first week.

Not perfect - but no, I have never used that term, nor any other derogatory term referring to someone's race. Dead serious honestly. I don't think I'm all that unique either. If I'm mad at someone, if I think they're a poor excuse for a human being - I don't apply that to mean anything about their race, because that's irrelevant. We all know of good and bad people of every race, why would I use a derogatory term about a race when talking about one individual?

I don't think Dog should have lost the show over this - not a private conversation - although I wonder if losing the show so fast means he was warned about it before by A&E. I don't know that it even means he's racist. But just because some idiots use the N word, both black and white idiots - doesn't ever make it OK. One, or even a few thousand idiot women deciding to refer to other women with derogatory terms doesn't make it OK for men (nor for those women) to use that term, same goes for rap artists and fools using the N word to refer to other black people.

Hey everyone. I originally signed up to post about the Stacey Peterson case, but couldn't help and respond to this topic. heh

I can understand people being offended by what Dog said. Personally, I never really liked the guy, even before the whole racist rant thing. I think recently his stepdaughter also went to some tabloid, claiming that when she was 15 he made her bring some friends over for sex and buy him crack. She also claims that he made a pass at her, would've raped her if she wasn't his ex's daughter.

I don't know, but something's not right with this guy. Why would so many of his kids feel the need to expose him in the tabloids? This guy is out there, lecturing all these bail jumpers. Perhaps he needs to get counseling or family therapy with his kids instead. He did admit to doing some horrible things in his past, I'm sure these kids were affected by it. Just because he's rich and famous now, doesn’t make everything right.

Anyhow, I heard the recording and from what I understood, Dog didn't want the girl around because he and his family "say n****r sometimes". So he doesn't want this "n****r" hearing or recording him say n*****r. So he threatens to fire his kid, all because he wont leave this "n****r".

That’s just so sad. Stop dating her because we say n****r here sometimes? If she was threatening to record him saying n****r, why couldn’t he just not say it? He obviously said it to her face; otherwise she wouldn’t have threatened to record him.

I don't blame these kids at all for recording it. Dog is insulting this girl, calling her a n****r left and right. And she’s not supposed to get offended? Is she supposed to just take it? Ugh I sure wouldn't!

Some people have chimed in to defend Dog’s free speech. Yes, he sure does have free speech, but so do I and everyone else disgusted by his choice of words. His kid obviously felt obligated to record his disagreement and distaste with his father. Free speech is a two-way street.

I don’t think what Tucker did is illegal. In some States, it’s ok to record a conversation as long as one of the parties involved is aware of it.

Dog is being such a hypocrite though. He chooses to say the word, why not just own up to it? Why is he trying to deceive people? It’s common sense, when you’re famous; you’re put under a microscope. Your personal life is no longer personal. If he knew most of his fans were going to disagree with his word usage, why not gather a little self-control and not say it? Otherwise, don’t be such a coward!

Anyway, that's just my opinion. And I apologize for any spelling errors. Too tired to go back and fix everything. :o

Personally I can't stand the Dog and his show. In one breath he is cussing and calling his bail jumpers everything in the book and once he's sharing a smoke and stuffing their butts in the vehicle, his whole personality flips to a preacher. He loses his show, big whoop te frigging do, No one is taking aways his business and trust me, he makes lots of cash on the folks that don't jump their bonds.

I grew up in a small community that didn't have any black folks until a GM plant in Michigan closed up and sent them here so they could keep their jobs. They were accepted with open arms and treated no differently than anyone else. Our community now is a melting pot of many different races and we don't have racial issues. We didn't chase out the middle easterns folks after 911, nor did we threaten them.

I must admit, I am guilty of using the n*gger word and it is always followed by rigged. It's not meant in a derogitory manner and has never been taken as such. Living alone and not having the funds to do things the correct way, I often use short cuts that work just as well. Especially when it comes to finding something someone has been tossed out in the trash. Hmmm, is it worth dragging home and how can I n*gger rig it so it works for me. Guess I am a bigot and never knew huh?
I don't know if you are a bigot but, I do know that you are quite ignorant!

Your mistaken .... We have NOT all used the "N" word at one time or another nor other derogatory terms.
Its not about being "perfect" Its about not hating others for their race.
It would not even enter into my mind to use the N word.

I have never used the 'n' word; neither did my parents; neither do my children (at least not at home). I'm not perfect, and I feel sure that I have at times used defamatory phrases, but never based on someone's race or ethnicity. And the most difficult for you to believe I'm sure, is that I'm from Alabama and have lived here all my life.
