That age would be 62 semi-retirement for social security, age 65 for full retirement social security. Disabilities aren't always an outward appearance. It could be her heart, kidneys, or other hidden issues. You don't have to be blind or one legged to have a disability to be considered for social security. Also most companies after putting in 20 + years on the job people have a retirement fund built up. Some actually start a second job and go 20 years and have two retirements before age 65 through social security. So, yeah, it's written.

You can book a trip to vegas cheap. They were advertised on tv this week on the motel commercials Vegas rooms for $29.00 dollars. The Hospitality business is hurting, and now is the time to book a trip if you were dreaming of one for yourself. I think you would enjoy Italy.

BBM got a link to a law or scripture where that age of no longer working is a requirement? TIA

Just because you are able to file for SS does not mean that you must stop working in our country. Just because you have a retirement fund does not mean there is a requirement of no gainful employment. My Grandparents raised me until 12. They were old enough to have SS and both still worked. Grandfather had massive coronary issues in addition to lung damage from the shipyard. They worked (Grandpa until the week he died) in order to provide a better life for me. I believe that many will soon find that counting on the State to care for you via SS and disability will be like counting on the air to stop you from falling. All I can say is good luck with that. I will plan to work and provide, for myself and my family. My questions were about where the money was coming from. IF GGM is well enough to fly and travel...ya think she might be well enough for a clerk's job sitting at a cash register? Just saying, there are many in this country who make living off of others, including the government..an art form.

Sounds like you had strong All American Grandparents who are the types that built this Country strong with their work ethics and strength off their backs and brows. My Mother is 72 and still maintains 2 jobs, she loves working and wouldn't change it. I've begged her to retire, she won't. Says she couldnt stand sitting around doing nothing.

But she also draws her social security retirement now, which only pays for medicines, she works to spoil my babies, hehehehe and me.

I don't have a problem with people in their golden years enjoying life, they have earned it and we should honor that. Good for Mrs. Sykes going to Vegas, you only have one life and it's not a high heeled dress rehearsal. Though at age sixtish, I shore hope I can wear me a pair still. :blushing:

I actually have enjoyed Italy on the two occasions I have been. Plan to enjoy it again in May when I return, but thanks for the tip.

no not a requirement, just a norm. What our country offers to those who do work and have something to look forward to in their golden years. do you have a problem about me, I'm 45, and don't work outside the home drawing a paycheck?

Well first off it would be public imo if money raised was being used for them, and they would be looking for volunteers and help. Volunteers to search obviously would not require payment as well. What would money to search be used for? That would also be public. Unless the money was all for Cobra, which he has denied many times, and jmo his role was not looking for HaLeigh imo. Secondly, HaLeigh's step Granny is very upset none of the money raised by the Foundation was used for searches, I heard her interview awhile ago, I don't have a link. The problem is that the money raised by the foundation, imo, is being kept secret, for a reason. JMO

I see where you're coming from Flossie. Any monies coming from this foundation I don't believe has ever been toward a search.

To answer your question as to what the money SHOULD be used for in a search, you need to provide a command center where people can sign in so you account for everyone involved, portable bathrooms, water, power to do mapping from computers, etc. It can get expensive depending on the size of the search and most importantly, you cannot just get a group together and start trekking through the brush and the woods. If you aren't with someone that is trained in search and rescue, you can do more damage than good.

If I'm not mistaken, the foundation is being run through a bank. Even the website shows it's attached to a bank if you look at the very bottom of the page where it shows the copyright. Are they not bound by laws to provide an annual report and isn't that supposed to be a public record?

I worry about him, I keep praying HaLeigh will be home soon, I don't know how he even gets out of bed

Not me I don't worry about him.. Have wondered what he, TN and GGMS think when they look at themselves in a mirror though...Ron C and his mother are looking real bad, but guilt will do that to a person...JMO

Well, even if she is found alive I think it would be doubtful she would even be returned to Ronald at this point, not with this DCF investigation going on- and on top of that, if she was taken and abducted and lets say its because of Rons lifestyle, she wont be going back to live with him anytime soon-

I don't know what mirror you been lookin in, but Ron is lookin better to me than in the beginning. I think it's the circumstances, as tragedy often grows character within a person. He's looking much more manish.

BBM yeah if he does, and I pray so, that he hires 4 private investigators from that fund, sets them in all 4 corners of the Earth, starting at point A =mobile home where Haleigh disappears and spreads out going North, South, East and West to the ends of all 4 corners of the Earth not stopping til they find what happened to Haleigh.

Four PI's? What in the HELL-O for since he is well aware of the fact as to what happened to her and who put her where she is now?Guess he is trying to top OJ right? JMO

Please try to contain yourself...IMHO...You can trust me when I say Ron C hasn't grown any character nor can be describes as being much mor e manish...... I saw him walking out of jail and he looked liked a gangsta wannabe.. Also putting on a suit doesn't necessarily make a man...especially in this case.JMO

Good post...I was thinking that Rc was more thuglike and smug than before. A suit on a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 is just a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 in a suit...nothing more.....sometimes dressing up a turkey makes it look more like a turkey. KWIM?

To get to the truth, to find out what has happened to Haleigh. Answers are out there to be had, someone knows something. Investigators can do things LE can't. They don't have to read someone their rights to question someone.

The way a person walks, doesn't make them a killer, criminal, druggie, etc.... your trusted reasons for saying Ron isn't a man due to his style of walk and suit wearing, humors me. OJ never hired private investigators to get to the truth of the matter LOL... Hiring attornies, and hiring investigators are entirely two different things. I find it revealing how you compare the two and can see right through the mud.

Here at this site set up for Ronald and family there has been 27,944 visitors. Now if each person just gave $5.00 that would come to $ 139,720.00 !

I wonder if we can see records for this account !

http://haleigh-cummings.celebration-of.com/Timeline.aspx

This website is on my favorites list and I visit it several times per week. Assuming other people who are interested in seeing pictures or visiting a website dedicated Haleigh visit it as often as I do it might not be reasonable to assume that every visitor that is counted by the web counter is donating funds.

I have donated to both family relief funds but never to any online website like this. I am sure some do but I doubt all 27 thousand visitors have donated. JMO

YOU are right someone knows something...And in this case its the Cummings, Neves and the Sykes.., And hiring a PI or multiple PI's is not the answer... Ron C knows exactly what happened to Haleigh and he and his mother know she is deceased... All they have to do is tell the TRUTH and quit with the BS...They are lying and have been for almost 9 months now and everyone knows it......Enough is ENOUGH...They need to tell the truth, lay this child to rest and accept the consequences of their actions for the last nine months.JMO

why would you object to private investigators? I could see maybe one, possibly two covering and lying for Ron if they found the truth that he was the culprit, but not four. One would run to LE with the evidence they uncovered, as they take certain oaths or sign agreements when they become licensed, especially through the courts. Soooo hire Ron, hire some private investigators. I'll donate, hire 4, one to cover each corner of the Earth. The truth lies somewhere in between.

Glad to know you are so easily entertained..Personally, I don't find anything humorous about any of the Cummings...Their actions are disgraceful, to say the least... IMHO...JMO

I wasn't talking about the cummings, I was talking about what is said in your posts. Yes, I'm easily entertained, wouldn't have it any other way, comes from a free spirit, learning how to not be held down by things of this world. I'm free! :woohoo:

The only thing I object to is one more moment of cover-up, lying, obfuscation, PR, fake tears, brand new baby dolls and all the other nonsense that is going on in this case while HaLeigh is gone. Many criminals have hired PI's after committing the crime...it is a good PR move. the best thing people can do here is to tell the truth and stop lying.
