Oops - I see what you mean. Sorry about that!

Does anyone find it interesting that the man DB is talking to says, LE advised her to get out of town and cease contact with this group? I mean, doesn't that sound like they kind of warned her? I just have to wonder why Ron Cummings wasn't also warned? Oh, maybe they really wanted him!
a theory only-
RC might not have been warned because this was a secret undercover operation that was actually kept secret, on a need to know basis, and maybe they knew which LE did not need to know...thus Ron was caught unaware...

That's the law in GA but not in FL. It varies.
By the way, I'm recording our conversation![]()
Here is an article with a picture of Donna and Misty.

OK, if Donna's secret tapes can't be used, why can't she just testify as to what she heard from Misty?
Not sure what you're saying here... are you trying to say that Ron is an undercover agent with LE?? Since when did he become employed by any LE agency? No offense intended, I may have misread what you said.
UC's have to be certified LEO's, and usually with several years' experience to work for DEA. They don't use ordinary citizens for undercover work... it's too dangerous.
And if he were an informant, he wouldn't still be sitting in jail looking forward to prison. Informants are paid for the information they provide to LE, and then they're back on the streets. At least that's the way it works around here.
I dunno, but inside I want to think that lady is plumb nuts.
DONNA BROCK: A detective from Putnam County, and then some other guy, some investigator or something. What had happened was when I came through from Virginia, from my doctor`s appointment, I had all my meds or whatever. Misty was having problems. I gave her the meds. She sold them. Just as simple as that. I never sold them, but I gave them to her. I gave them away. And she sold them to that undercover guy, whoever was with her at the truck stop.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You`re not on these videotapes, they`re talking about selling these drugs to an undercover cop?
BROCK: No.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: You got in the car while she was doing...
BROCK: Yes, I was in the car because it was cold outside. I got in the car with them both. Yes, I did. Yes, I did. I mean, I did. But I gave them to her. They were hers. But they were -- I still -- like I told the detectives, I did, I gave them to her. You know, I didn`t want them. I didn`t need them. She`s the one that was in pain, not me. Whatever. I mean, it wasn`t my business what she did afterwards. I admit, yes, I gave them to her.
Quoting NG transcript:
That's pretty nonchalant, imo... If Misty was in pain and needed Donna's drugs to relieve her pain, why would she sell them to an undercover cop? Even if it wasn't any of my business I'd be pretty annoyed if somebody told me a sob story about being in pain in order to make me feel sorry for her and give my pills to her, and then it turns out they're just going to sell them for a few bucks. Anyway, I think it is my business what she does with the drugs if I'm gonna end up in jail with her.
Nope, not buying this one.
ETA: And I seen three... Notice how she repeats things. I gave her the meds. I gave them to her. I gave them away. I was in the car. I got in the car. I did, I did, I did. I gave them to her, I gave them to her. It's a red flag to me.
Well, kinda. I'm not saying I think Ron is an informant or anything cuz I don't think that. But
When I finally ended up getting busted it was with the help of a guy I had been selling to for a long time. He got nailed with pills, they wanted to know where he got them, apparently he told them so they set up this thing. He called me, told me he "broke his leg" and was in pain, could I help him out? Sure.. I said, come over. So he did.. little did I know he brought them with him- they were across the street watching the entire thing, taping us. About 2 days later he called looking for something else, this time he came into the house, again LE was across the street taping. From there, LE took the pills from him, brought them to the pharmacy I used and verified what the pills were and that I have a prescription for one of them (Klonopin) and my mom had a prescription for the other (Oxycontin). With this information and the tapes from the "deals" they got the warrants and made the busts. So, while the guy I was selling to obviously wasn't a cop, he was working undercover, in a sense, for them which is a very common tactic with LE in making drug busts.
But again, I personally don't think that was the case here with Ron or any of these peeps but it does happen.
It could be that she was going through a mid-life crisis, and then got wrapped up in the "fame" of these young notorious wannabe thugs. She thought it was hot!! It made her feel wild and free, like some kinda badazz. Perhaps she enjoyed being the older cool chickCome on, what intelligent 45 year old woman wants to become best buds with an 18 year old dope head? really?
