mikeinmo, that's encouraging news. Maybe it will actually happen!
ETA: I would love for it to be covered by CourtTV. Is Vinnie Politan going to be part of it? I haven't kept up ad well as I should have.
Vinnie Politan leading revival of Court TV
"Vinnie Politan recently left 11Alive with no explanation. Now we know why: he will be returning home to be lead anchor for a revival of Court TV...
Atlanta-based Katz Broadcasting, part of E.W. Scripps, purchased the intellectual property of Court TV from Atlanta-based Turner Broadcasting including the trademark, website and complete, original 100,000-hour Court TV library.
“This was by far the best fit that could keep me in town and do what I love,” said Politan, a former lawyer and prosecutor. “It’s really full circle. The last time I felt this excited was when I got the call from Court TV the last time.”
The network said it will offer live, gavel-to-gavel coverage, in-depth legal reporting and expert analysis of the nation's most important and compelling trials."
Ohhhhhh, I wonder what the email address is of the producer so we can put in our two cents of which case we want them to follow?
ETA.. we know who also lives in the Atlanta area who might be looking for a job... an opinion in the article States
"And who knows? This might lure Atlanta-based Nancy Grace (now on Sirius/XM) back to TV."
ETA #2 article from today...
Yodit Tewolde Joins Politan, Iyer and Grant as New Court TV Anchor Team
The new Court TV has added Yodit Tewolde to its growing on-air news team as the network builds to its launch in May.
Tewolde fills Court TV's fourth and final anchor position, joining Vinnie Politan, Seema Iyer and Julie Grant at the network desk. All four are seasoned journalists and lawyers who have successfully blended television and legal careers.
