If the tracking dogs were picking up a scent from Haleigh after she got off the school bus then perhaps the track from the bus stop up to 202 Green Lane was from 3:30 in the afternoon?But the trail that the dogs took from the back door out to the outbuilding and the pond is disturbing. I am sure they drained the pond but anyway my question is....does anyone know where on the above map the dumpster search was located?

Also before I forget thank you to JWG for the making of the map.

Excellent point about HaLeigh's scent. It would be helpful if NG would direct this question to the person who appears on her show with the search dogs.
Same question applies to fingerprints. If HaLeigh was in DS's boat and car, would her fingerprints fade over time? Can fingerprints be removed and if so, how? If fingerprints cannot be removed, perhaps this explains why DS got rid of them. Ds would know this stuff from being in the military IMO.
I'll see what I can find out.

I don't understand why DS is even out of jail. Those two girls were brought to his home by a parent so what good is a monitor. This just doesn't make any sense to me.

I see your point but DS was ordered by a judge not to be around children after he was charged with sexual misconduct against a minor in 2007.

DS went to the HaLeighBug Centre where there are children to make a donation which he is forbidden to do and that’s why Cobra want to arrest him. After DS was charged with this crime, the LE officer called him a piece of trash on national television and 20/20 exposed his crime on national television before he was convicted. I think he was angry for the way he was treated and decided to seek revenge.

FACTS ABOUT SEARCH AND RESCUE DOGS:

European studies using properly trained scent-identification dogs showed acceptable performance levels with collected scent that was aged two weeks to six months.
For beginning to trail, a YES was recorded if the dog indicated the presence of matching scent at the start of the trail and began to follow. A NO was recorded if the dog gave no response to the presence of matching scent at the start of the trail. The trails were run in an urban public park frequented by joggers and people walking pets. Because it was previously demonstrated that bloodhounds are capable of identifying human scent that was vacuumed onto a scent pad and capable of matching that scent to a suspect on aged and contaminated trails through an urban environment, no attempts were made to age or contaminate the test trails.

FACTS ABOUT FINGERPRINTS

Although fingerprints have been used by crime investigators for more than a century, they remain one of the most sought after pieces of evidence. All human beings are born with a characteristic set of ridges on our fingertips. The ridges, which are rich in sweat pores, form a pattern that remains fixed for life. Even if the skin is removed, the same pattern will be evident when the skin regenerates. Some of the typical patterns found in fingerprints are arches, loops, and whorls. Footprints found in a search can identify a person as well as tire tracks, bite marks, toe prints, and prints left by bare feet may also provide useful evidence.

To remove fingerprints, just wipe the surface of the object with any type of clothe. Fingerprints are made by oil on your skin being left behind when you touch something. The oil forms an impression of your fingerprint which can be lifted by sticking powders to the oil and transferring them to a plastic film. If you just wipe the surface, the imprint of your finger is smeared away even if all the oils are not. You can remove recognizable fingerprints with practically any cloth, but it will still leave smears.

To polish up a surface that has fingerprints and smudges, use a cleaner appropriate to the surface e.g. on glass, use Windex and a clean dry soft lint-free cloth. Prints made with paint are best removed with paint remover. Prints made with bodily fluids like sweat or oil can be removed with a detergent. To avoid leaving fingerprints, wear gloves.

We were questioning why DS would sell his boat and car after HaLeigh disappeared and based on what I found out about human scent, although DS would be able to destroy fingerprints and footprints left by her in his vehicles, HaLeigh's scent cannot be eliminated, Even after a fire, search dogs were still able to trace a person's scent. If LE retrieved these vehicles, it is highly likely the dogs could detect HaLeigh's scent.

Awesome, course they would have to be able to get the dogs around the boat huh? If he did sell a boat or anything for that matter since Haleigh went missing, maybe we could figure out who he sold it to somehow by VIN #'s or something, if the new owners registered the boat or vehicle in the state of Florida. Of course we can not post any names of people not already discussed in this case for privacy and TOS reasons. I have researched a lot of cases where law Enforcement has went back after many years and been able to get a smidgen of DNA to test. Nowadays they can duplicate the DNA strands and really only need a little to work with.

O/T...I am not a dreamer, I usually have just some pretty amped up nightmares....lol. But last night I had some doozy's not about Haleigh unfortunately, not about any missing child that I am aware of. It involved a baby (1-2 yrs old) that was murdered. Very sad. I kept hearing a baby screaming and crying bloody murder for days and days when I drove into town...or wherever, the screaming baby always bothered me so bad because my instincts were telling me that I should call the police and report the constant screaming, but I never got involved. Then the next time I drove into town and got out of my car everyone was standing in the street and in the park with shovels digging and throwing dirt everywhere. I asked what was wrong and they told me that they were looking for a little child that was missing and assumed dead. They were looking for the 1-2 year old that I kept hearing scream. It was awful..

My husband said no more WS before bed!

I just read that interview in the stickies too. Angel who cares really went above and beyond the call of duty to stay faithful to Haleigh by posting all those links in the Media Thread. I follow a lot of different cases here and she must use a significant portion of her day posting daily news article's on all of these cases. Anyway, I don't know for sure about posting the transcript but my guess would be that it would be okay. If you click on chicoliving's hat down in the moderator box you can send a PM and ask. I guess that is the only way to be certain.

I have had dreams before after I read about a case on the news.

One example was when Ben Ownby was kidnapped and I was posting on AMW message boards. For three nights in a row, after it happened, I would dream of a worn grayed-out apartment with dirty chairs and sofas, and I saw two boys sleeping on the couch, one with bounds on his hands. Then I would hear over and over the word "sheck". Over and over.

For a day or two I thought, maybe I'm getting a "check" that I don't expect, or maybe I should "check" on something important. I thought that maybe I was hearing "Shrek" instead, etc...

But, when Ben Ownby was found along with Shawn Hornbeck in Michael Devlin's apartment and I heard his name, and that there were two boys, I was in shock. I thought that maybe the word "sheck" stood for SHawn HornbECK.

Same with a few other well-know cases, like Holloways. I saw a reporter finding her alive living in some god-forgotten basement in the jungle. This dream still has not come to pass and sounds that it will never be.

So, that's why I hope nobody puts too much weight on the dream I had with Haleigh, as it may well be one of my dreams that may not come true. But, I wish that someone would help me interpret it, or give me input... or not.

My dream is about a very elderly "couple". I say "couple" because one of them may be a man pretending to be a woman, wearing a wig and dress, lots of jewelry.

This couple drive a very red classic vintage car. I don't know much about cars, btw. The car is in good shape, but not as well preserved as others I have seen. They have Florida tag, with the last two letters "ZZ".

The girl appeared to be Haleigh, or may be someone who looks amazingly like her. Her hair is a little longer, and appeared darker.

About the couple, the guy is tall and has gray hair but not sure if he has a bald spot. The "lady" wears a light brown wig to the shoulders, a suited-type ensemble, and Mary Jane type shoes with thick control stockings.

Her eyelashes and lips are extra-makeuped. With tons of mascara and eyeliner and eyebrow drawing. She wears eyeglasses that look manly and are black, and her lips are colored dark red. The eyes are very black in color.

In my dream I see this couple playing with the little girl outside in some park, and every now and then she goes sit on the man's lap. Sometimes they sat on the car, where I could still see the little girl and she looks at me.

This is my dream, and I thought it was Haleigh because in the dream the girl looks just like her and I was reading extensively on her case just a few days ago.

Chances are that Haleigh died (in however circumstances) and she has been disposed of, maybe the way Somer Thompson was, or who knows...

But, this dream has got me a little stirred. And I wonder if the dream has any meaning, for those experts on symbolism in dreams.

As you know I have had lots of dreams of Haleigh and some paranormal activity that I believe had to do with her as well. Today I had a really strange thing happen and I think I am losing my mind. I am not kidding..... I was sitting on the floor shredding some paperwork and also printing off some forms. My shredder is small and it sits beside a file box with all of Haleigh's files I keep. As I am shredding I start to smell glue. It is pungent, strong and fills my nose and lungs. It was like airplane glue or industrial glue. My husband is in the room with me and I start saying stuff like, "OMG, that is awful, what is that?" and he doesn't smell it. I had to leave the room. This went on for sometime. He went out and I closed the door to the room and went outside. When he came back I asked him to check the room for fumes. Nothing. Either I have a brain tumor, I am losing my mind or this is a paranormal thing again. If anyone has experienced this in one way or the other, can you let me know. What would glue or fumes have to do with anything?

Maybe a strong smell of glue or an industrial chemical = drugs and this implies that someone was doing drugs around Haleigh and perhaps she was given some to make her sleep.
