Drew Peterson's Trial *THIRD WEEK*

If i was a Juror and subjected to all these sidebars I would despise the Defense and pity the Prosecution. Clearly they are trying to interrupt the flow. Heck i might be inclined to hit myself upside the head with a bar just to get the he77 off this Jury :banghead:

One can hope, ey?!

Good for Dr. Blum. It's now clear she was never in a tub with water in it. No wonder the defense wanted all his testimony tossed. Sheesh, what a way and try to win a trial.

Admittedly I am surprised. All along it was my belief the tub had actually been filled after she was put in it.

LMAO keep it up Defense. Speaks volumes. You don't like what the witness has to say. Sidebar Sidebar Sidebar....................Now who is looking foolish and desperate :woohoo:

In Session Dr. Blum is shown a document. “Is that a demonstrative aid, showing the injuries you’ve just described?” Objection. The defense asks for a sidebar. 2 minutes ago

Now I'm reading on her shins:

Stacy St. Clair ‏@StacyStClair
Blum says Savio bruising on shins were caused w/in 48 hours of her death. #DrewPeterson

First he spoke about the one on her bottom, then the ones on her shins, imo.

Yep. All the useless objections and sidebars would bring my mind to believe this is an important fact to remember.

In Session The sidebar ends. “Does that demonstrative [aid] fairly represent injuries you’ve just finished testifying to?” Objection/Sustained. “Does that demonstrative aid fairly and accurately portray the injuries you just completed testifying to?” Objection/Sustained. “Recognize areas 13 and 14?” Objection. Once again, the attorneys approach the bench for a sidebar. a few seconds ago

ITA! I wonder if there is a legitimate way for the prosecution to try and get a summary of what Blum has said without getting into "asked and answered" or "objection/sidebar"...

Jurors should be able to ask for portions of the transcript during deliberation. They could request Dr. Blum's testimony.

No wonder Drew is smiling so much, The Prosecution is literally handing him the keys to his own freedom.

Not necessarily. I think this jury is paying close attention. I have faith that they can figure out why all of these objections and sidebars are happening.

Drew is all smiley and suave and greets everyone with a big kind smile. Could you imagine how you would be acting if you were FALSELY accused of this crime? Would you be all slick and smarmy?

The entire objective of the defense appears to be to interrupt the flow of testimony so the jury won't remember what important information the witness gave.

:maddening:

The jury can, however, ask for his testimony during deliberations.

Defense objects to state's request to publish a photo, asks to approach the bench.

Blum: "The overall distribution [of injuries] shows anterior, or what we call front of the body, bruising."

Glenn Marshall‏@GMarshall_Jr

Blum is pointing out all of Savio's bruises that were considered "fresh" #DrewPeterson

I hope the state is capable of giving a succinct and powerful closing statement.

In Session The sidebar ends. “The model that appears in that exhibit, would that assist you in your testimony?” “Yes, it would assist me.” “Does that demonstrative [aid] accurately portray the location of the injuries on the body?” “Yes, it does.” The State then asks to publish the exhibit, which the judge allows. “Does that accurately portray the locations of the injuries to the body of Kathleen Savio?” “Yes, Sir . . . the area across the chest demonstrates where the muscular hemorrhage was beneath the skin . . . this is area of the three bruises on the hip bones . . . this is the bruise to the left front of the thigh . . . and these depict the two bruises to the front of the shins, or the front of the lower legs. This shows what we call anterior, or “front of the body” bruising.”

I guess in their closing. jmo
I don't think the judge will oblige.

Oh Yeah. Their tactical responses should backfire. If they are reasonable Jurors. It's so obvious. Shows no respect to the Jurors to let this case flow as it should.

In Session “Could you describe the extent of that injury?” [I believe this is the laceration to Savio’s head.] “I forget how long it was; Dr. Mitchell measured it . . . it was one inch in length.” Glasgow then asks to publish a photograph showing this injury, after which the parties approach the bench for a sidebar.

Blum on Savio's head wound "The laceration did not go through to the bone, it was a partial tear."

Savio's head injury was not caused by a great deal of force, Blum said #DrewPeterson
