from the trial transcript link I previously posted - here is an overview of Savio's condition & injuries (culled both from autopsy #1 by Mitchell and autopsy #2 by Blum)
- tongue was clenched between her teeth
- water "wrinkling" evident on left hand only
- 1x3" abrasion on left buttocks (in orig autopsy there was a bruise, but bruise not evident in 2nd autopsy)
- brain swelling present (normal w/drowning)
- water in the sinuses
- 1" linear laceration to the left side of back of head - caused by object with an edge & it was a light force injury
- negative toxicology
- deep contusion on right lower abdomen - orig autopsy showed 3 distinct bruises but at 2nd autopsy it had evolved into 1 large bruise - contusion all the way to the bone
- blood on nose & cheek from head laceration
- bruise on left breast
- hemorrage on both clavicle areas
- contusion on front left thigh
- bruising on both shins
- abrasions left side of arm

Blum testified that all bruises & contusions were on front side of body. Scalp laceration & abrasions on back side w/exception of 1 on the arm. There was no bruising to the buttocks or back that normally would be present if someone had fallen in the tub.
