I tried to do some research on the Peterson family, and found that there's a LOT of Petersons living in Bolingbrook. Somewhere along the line, I heard one of the media mention a Brian Peterson - possibly another brother?

The mother of a former police sergeant embroiled in controversy surrounding his missing wife and the death of his third wife criticized Stacy Peterson and said she would “swear on a Bible” that her son would never hurt anyone, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
"I would tell her I'm ashamed of her for putting the family through this," Betty Morphey said of Stacy Peterson. "She knows where she is."
