The driver then drove through a fence after attempting to hit the security officers, Watt said.

According to Watt, the driver then drove out of the exit of the plant, where he attempted to hit a security truck with a guard in it.

After driving back onto Highway 183, the driver then drove into Pickens County and pulled onto some property on Jones Mill Road, where shots were fired, Watt said.

Deputies are still searching for a silver 2002 Camry with an Arkansas tag of 380DVR.

Anyone with information about this incident or who sees the car or driver is asked to call 911 immediately.

I expect by now, LE knows who owns that car -- or at least the license plate.

Wonder if they will tell us if the car was stolen?

Traffic cams between this plant & vehicle registered address?

I agree. I'm hoping the next news report will be LE with some answers on who did this.

New information released about man accused of driving through gate at Oconee Nuclear Station

During a news conference Friday afternoon, Sheriff Mike Crenshaw identified Doyle Wayne Whisenhunt, 66, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, as a person of interest.

According to Crenshaw, the car has been located in Pickens County and Whisenhunt remains at large.

Whisenhunt is wanted out of Arkansas for drug and weapons charges, Crenshaw said.

According to Crenshaw, the FBI and SLED are assisting with the investigation.

At this point in the investigation, there is no evidence this was domestic terrorism, Crenshaw said.
