Maybe they can make up some more DNA evidence... :furious:
Lurker, this is not what I nor anyone that has been sleuthing this case wants.
With all eyes on Durham right now, I am hopeful that if and when an arrest is made it will be done with the utmost professionalism.
I would believe if it was my family member that was murdered the family and friends of Janet would want the real murderer put behind bars and not someone that was set-up.
Unfortunately, in cases like this, with no witness, it would still end up being a circumstantial evidence case and all the more reason for every I to be dotted and every T to be crossed.
We saw in previous cases, the insane antics a defense attorney would go to to get their client off. i.e. Scott Peterson trial and all the red-herrings, insinuations that Laci had a boyfriend, Asian Mafia, men in Brown Vans, Cults and the strange conspiracy theories out there.
Lucky a jury of Scott's peers saw through these antics.
We also saw through the OJ trial, issues with "double-jeapordy. Any sort of mistep in procedure, a man that may have actually murdered Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman could be out at the golf course playing golf and living his life without being punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Please note that though OJ Simpson will NEVER be able to be tried for murder, he was indeed found guilty in a Civil Law Suit.
We also saw that witnesses in case can effect the outcome of a case i.e. Michael Jackson.
Nobody wants another OJ, and Michael Jackson may indeed be a child molestor, but neither case can be tried again.
Justice for Janet is the most important thing. I want the murderer of Janet to be arrested and prosecuted for the murder, fair and square.
I just know that if and when the murderer of Janet gets arrested that indeed there will be antics played out by his defense attorney. A defense attorneys job is to win, whether or not their client is innocent or guilty and many defense attorneys will do whatever it takes, including coming up with silly theories, red-herrings, etc. to get their client off.
I hope that the DA's office get's their act together, because now there is so much taint going on that even if an arrest was made, it could be muddied because of the three-ring-circus type atmosphere in Durham, North Carolina at this time.
I am still keeping my faith in the "Homicide Division" of Durham Law Enforcement and believe they want Justice for Janet and her unborn child.
I will just have to have faith that if....or more likely when an arrest is made that the person Prosecuting the case handles the case professionally and with diligence and pours their heart into the case.
DA's office will have a tough road ahead of them, and I'm hoping that the Duke matter gets cleared up and the DA's office will handle this case professionally and with diligence and they pour the time and attention to handle this case ethically and with extreme care.
