This is my first post on this topic, although I think of this heartbreaking loss of DR's life every day and can't imagine what his family is going through. I want to wrap his hurting family in love and peace.
ER and MR both have emotions running very high and react differently ... it seems that MR says these things on purpose, like how only 2% of DR's remains were found and the rest of him is strewn across the mountainside (that would be like a stab in ER's heart IMO). And then I think MR said that he feels peaceful knowing that DR is up there on the mountain. But it's not supposed to just be about MR's feelings, it's supposed to be about helping each other through this and preventing the killer from attacking anyone else.
I see MR as coming across as self-centred and defensive. His apparent inability to express feelings like sadness and joy doesn't mean that he doesn't have these feelings. This is not uncommon. Everything gets pent up and comes out as rage (in my past experience living with such a person). I have to keep telling myself that this doesn't automatically make him a murderer.
I've noticed that in recent interviews, since DR's remains have been found, MR has been talking about DR in the present tense. Yet in early interviews and on the DP show, MR referred to DR in the past tense. Many people commented on it. This leads me to speculate that MR reads the comments on Youtube after the videos and likely reads this WS forum and also the FB pages. MR's latest interview that I listened to almost sounded scripted and he sounded like he was trying to sound sad. This makes me think that MR cares about his public image.
Another observation ... who's to say that DR's final text messages were sent by DR and not by someone else? I've actually been astonished that none of the sleuthers on here have already picked up on this. It's the main reason I'm posting. It would open up a new time frame.
