That man is the master of the blank face.
He certainly is. He's learned that over so many years being LE. He's a man of few words. IMO.

I remember that you could not discuss where your search area was , previously. But now you can probably be more forthcoming. Did you guys search in the middle mountain area or more around Vallecito reservoir?
This is an ongoing case and hopefully to trial for DR death. I just cannot say anything. I so hope you understand?

I agree.
What do you make of the shoelaces verses sneaker discrepancy?
I'm not sure what the discrepancy is? They found shoelaces and one shoe, right? I think wolves or coyotes could have chewed the shoes. Running shoes don't have those little metal bracket things that go around the shoelace hole anymore, do they? I was thinking if they found those little brackets they would know the shoes had probably been chewed, but ... that doesn't really work. It does seem odd that they would find a shoe with lace out of it?
Poor Dylan. He really did deserve so much better.

I can't help but think Mark was deliberately fed misinformation about the shoelace ( which never made any sense IMO ) .... That discrepancy is driving me crazy.....
Thanks Angelonline. I have just gone searching for that snippet from KT, and note that it was tweeted at 12:23pm, soon after he had arrived in La Plata County. He has a flurry of tweets around that time when it seems like the press were being given only general details - in the same few minutes he also tweets "Significant announcement in Dylan Redwine case coming at 2:15pm"
So yes, I have no doubt that the family were asked to hold back until after the press conference. After that I imagine they were free to be interviewed.

After he found out about his brother, Cory Redwine texted his father saying 'God and Dylan know who did this'. Still blames his dad.

The discrepancy is that MR claimed they found a particular set of bones and a piece of a shirt, a sock, and shoestrings (plural). A recent MSM news article instead claimed that a shirt and a shoe had been found, but there have been no other reports like that. I have always thought the shirt and shoe report was just terribly sloppy reporting, mis-remembering what MR had divulged (which we still don't know is the actual set of items found since LE has never released that list).
I've also always thought it odd that the shoestrings were found but no shoes. Someone pointed out that shoes are often leather and the animals might well eat them. If so, the soles would still be somewhere, but perhaps more difficult to find. I still find it odd that the laces wouldn't have gone with the shoes. So, that leads me to speculate that the laces may have been removed from the shoes and used by the perp.
Maybe the perp did use shoelaces. But MR would have better tools at his disposal seeing that Dylan was at his home. So if the perp did use shoelaces, that points to a perp other than MR, imo.
Really ? I can see your logic on that , but I'm not sure it definitely points to another perp.
The truth is, I don't even think that the shoelaces were necessarily removed from the shoes by a person in the first place. I have domestic dogs and before they learned to not chew up our shoes, I found more than one chewed up shoe minus a shoelace. One of my dogs in particular, even as an adult has a thing for pulling on laces. It's conceivable and probably most believable to me that an animal chewing on leather caused the lace/shoe separation. Do we know the condition of the shoe or lace?
Well that answers my question about animals and their ability to unlace shoes!
