This is probably a dumb question, but is middle mountain on the way home from the McDonald's where they were assumed to eat?
IMO network activity doesn't mean he was there, just that his electronic devices were connecting to wifi or cell towers whatever. I don't know how the swab testing works, but wasn't dylan at that house 2 months previous?
No one knows how it is that LE decided is was able to use the verb "confirmed" for his arrival. Another possibility someone mentioned is that Dylan might have used a password authentication on some account after arriving at MR's house.
It's also possible that I am reading too much into that word. Or even that LE is mistaken in their thinking. Many of the "facts" in the case have some level of uncertainty (is LE telling MR the truth? is MSM reporting accurately? is LE correct in their judgement? etc).
But, I think their choice of the word "confirmed" makes Dylan's arrival at MR's house pretty likely, so I tend to speculate on narratives that take that into account.
I think the simplest explanation might be a text to one of his friends that said "we just got home or i'm at dads'' etc.
Maybe the cereal bowl confirmed he was there? Is MR the only one who mentioned the cereal bowl? Did LE ever say it was there, existed, taken for testing?
...IMO, Dylan made to it MR's house that night.
"3/19 LE press release (BBM):...
" Investigators confirmed that Dylan arrived at Mark’s home on Sunday at about 8:00 PM after stops at Wal-Mart and McDonald’s in Durango. "
Contrast...:
"Investigators learned that Mark has said he last saw Dylan at around 7:30 AM Monday, November 19, 2012 at his home in Vallecito when Mark left for Durango to run errands."

Someone posted up thread about possibly not finding forensic evidence, I just wanted to say that even with a no blood kill there would be some evidence depending on how fast a body would be say bagged or contained. A body, after death, will fully evacuate. There would be bodily fluids of some sort within (have to look again) I believe 30 - 45 min.
Sorry if I sound disrespectful, I hate that part of forensics.
Now, I know I've had enough for the day when I saw this quote in this 6/27 interview ..... significant or not .... more deflection and blame.
"For the loving, caring peacemaker that he was, Mark Redwine said. I know that it was difficult for his mom and I to go through such a bitter divorce and I did everything I could to keep him out of the middle of it. He struggled with that and I'm not sure he felt he could talk to either of his parents about that and that's what's also hard."

"I did everything I could to keep him out of the middle of it."
This sounds like a confession to me.

Are you making a reference to Middle Mountain Road?
No, the statement was in regard to the problems between the parents I believe.
While Dylan was still missing, MR made a similar statement --- that he felt that Dylan was seeing what was going on between the parents and that might be why he was gone.
BBM: Bleh!I doubt LE noticed/ tested a cereal bowl on the first day and taking it ten days later would not be of any use, unless it had remained unwashed.
That does not appear to be correct. Looks like a maybe, maybe not kind of thing:Please Don't read if you don't like gory details.

True, but what are they going to say "Dylan's electronics were confirmed as arriving at Mark's house?" That might give too much away. But LE has to know that a text is not really an absolute confirmation of his being there. In Hailey Dunn's case, there was a text supposedly sent from home at 3ish pm, but LE has always seemed to doubt it as a timeline verification of her whereabouts.
