No real details:Dang.... another article I can't access. Wondering if someone could tell me what it might say - anything about his 3 days of motions hearings?
TIA!
Evidence the focus of 3 days of hearings in Mark Redwine case
This week there are three days of hearings leading up to the September trial. During those hearings, they're going over evidence and deciding what will be admissible during the trial, according to a spokesperson for the county.
The motion argues that the ability of a dog to detect human remains at a specific location days, weeks, months or even years after the source of that scent was removed has not been proven “with any degree of scientific reliability,” attorneys wrote.
From the article - it really does say the Judge is disallowing the dog.... did you see that somewhere else? TIA! Or did I miss it in the article?
Does anyone know of the reasoning the judge gave for accepting the cadaver dog evidence? I've seen the document the defence submitted to dismiss it but nothing official as to why the judge still allowed it.
Forgive me if it's already been discussed, I have been trying to catch up on the details of the case.
The judge has not made a final decision about cadaver dogs evidence being admissible.
The judge agreed to allow the defense to bring forward more arguments against the acceptance of cadaver dogs as evidence. So the judge still might disallow it in future rulings.
