FYI Note: The 6th Judicial District covers three counties: La Plata, Archuleta, and San Juan.
Situated in Durango, the DA's office includes 8 attorneys, 1 investigator, and a staff of 21.

We all know that MR's attorney, whoever that turns out to be, will want a "Change of Venue" for a jury trial.

In my layman's opinion, it would almost constitute ineffective assistance of counsel for a lawyer not to seek a change of venue. This case has been without resolution for so long, and opinions about it are held so passionately, that I can't imagine empaneling an impartial local jury.

Just to further confuse you, here's some useful fodder for your brain:

Right now, in Denver, Colorado it is 10:40 am MDT (Mountain Daylight Time) on Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

So your time zone is 9 hours ahead of his time zone.

(Maybe . . . I am often wrong!)

But of course the article doesn't give us any "next" court date. I hate when they don't put that in articles.
