Bill Richards testimony, about the loss of his son Martin, and the horrible injuries of his 6 yr old, Jane, has me in tears. And I am in Starbucks. :blush:

What a heartbreaking tragedy this was. I hope this terrorist is not shown any mercy.

Me too Katydid...I wasn't sure if I even wanted to read it, but, I felt compelled to, and it's heart wrenching. Having to leave his dying son to aid his injured daughter, what an awful choice to have to make. No parent should have to outlive their child, but to have your child so senselessly ripped from you in such a violent matter....the fact that a man had to scramble to try and help his family on a day that should have been nothing but bliss...I just can't even put into words the way it makes me feel. It angers me to my core that anyone could inflict this pain, confusion and fear on another human. I almost don't want him to get the death penalty, I want him to live in a cell that is plastered with this little boys face and hear this fathers testimony forever and ever and ever. I don't want him to ever forgot what he has done. I want the awful, gruesome pics of the injuries and the heartbreaking funeral pictures to be what he sees every single day. I want him to reach a point to where he doesn't want to wake up and continue living.

I know what y'all mean. As the mother to two young ones, I cannot imagine how devastating it must be for those parents to even recall those memories, let alone have to speak them aloud. It's seriously heartbreaking. Heartbreaking for all of those who were affected by the bombing but especially the Richard family. I can't and don't want to imagine.
